RULES AND REGULATION

5. Unreleased hot wheels cars are prohibited from the thread.

SOME HOTWHEELS TERMINOLOGY:
1. ERROR - Hot Wheels with mistake, this either referring to error in car or the card. Error could be wrong wheels, tampo, window, wrong car in card, etc.
2. DEFECT - the same as ERROR... they are both UN-intentional and is NOT mass produced. ..
3. VARIATION - Derivation from the same model, most of the time is variation of colour and tampo.
4. TAMPO - Painted designs that are pre-applied to castings through a pad press process.
5. WAVES - Assortment of the models in each carton. Mattel arrange the assortment according to the wave code in size of 72 cars in a carton. Collectors always refer new wave to new models out to market.
6. DEAD CASE - Means the box/case of 72 hotwheel cars did not contain any Treasure Hunt/$ cars.
7. CASTING - General term that refers to the Hot Wheels model.

Correct. This is the right design. Almost all the cars in the "Drift Race" series have mix front-rear wheels.

Bought from Canada, price I forgot already. It's actually a regular Mustang Shelby GT500KR, but I go buy red paint and paint the "light bars" on the hood scoop myself.

Actually they didn't recycle the base. According to Hotwheels wiki:

"This Ford 4x4 van was introduced in 1978 as the Baja Breaker in Gray to the Hot Wheels line-up with Large Blackwalls (BW), along with the Bywayman, the first vehicles with Large Blackwalls front and back. The designers made a special lifted base to fit these, as they share the same base. "

Yeah. Such a nice casting. Too bad Mattel messed up the roof design. The height is too low compared to the real car.

Gila Mattel go release 2 different $uper Mustangs in green this year. LOL!

Anyway, spam my latest find: Matchbox Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. Finally got it!


With the old F-150 SVT Lightning. Yes, I painted the headlights on the Raptor.
