I plan to start hitting the gym alone on September as i'll be receiving some new weight loss supplement from my sis so i would like to pair them for maximum weight loss and muscle building.

current goal: overall weight loss, loose my belly, gain stamina
long term goal: confident to run around shirtless and not intimidate onlookers.

any advice for a total newbie on how to start? threads here aren't really newbie friendly or maybe i'm slow in processing info, too much terms and i pening d..

Yeah, why september and why not now? It seems that you are expecting that weight loss supplement to help you losing weight but tbh it doesn't.

starting today, get up from your comfy sofa and start doing light exercises. I imagine you're paying a lot of money for the package....to utilize it fully, you will need to be at least capable of following the program. for that, start with doing stretching and light running.....make sure you track ur progress and it must be incremental.......good luck....

TBH, your questions can be answered by looking through the pinned threads. There are templates for basic beginner routines there and there is a thread showing you the proper form for the main lifts.

Nutrition is very simple. Go to http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/ and key your stats in to figure out how much you should be eating depending on your goal. Use http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ to track what you eat during the day and make an effort to hit your macros as shown in the first site.

TS, if you don't want to start doing some light exercises now (besides the jogging/walking your dogs), then I'd strongly suggest you do your reading up on the workouts/meal plans necessary to achieve your goals, and then plan it out by September.

That way when September comes you can hit the ground running.

Focus on what you eat and do HIIT. Diet is key for losing weight.

TS, if(I said IF) you choose a personal training and I'm your personal trainer. I will make sure you will almost pass out every end of workout day.

If you get what I mean. smile.gif

Again, check your diet/nutrition.
