somebody know what is the meaning of 2 principal passes in stpm? include cgpa 2.00?

Principal pass = C.

means you need 2 C.

STPM uses a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) system. There are 11 grades, which are A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+ and D, with F as the failing grade. The grade points for each of these grades are between 4.0 and 1.0, A being 4.0 and D- being 1.0. The F grade gives a grade point of 0. From year 2012 onwards, CGPA point for each subject is known as Subject Grade Point (SGP) meanwhile the overall CGPA point for all subjects will be known as "Overall Subject Grade Point".

In accordance with the implementation of modular system in STPM from year 2012 onwards, MEC will implement a new assessment system for each STPM subjects. Cited the information from an experienced STPM teacher's website, marks below 40% (grade lower than C) is considered as fail. However, MEC announced that grade lower than C is considered as "Partial Pass".

Each paper's grade and SGP appears on the result slip and the certificate. The subject's grade and grade point is determined by the weighted average results of all papers in that subject, where all papers must be passed, otherwise the grade and grade point would be, respectively, F and 0. The overall subject grade point is the average of the top four subjects taken and usually rounded up to 2 decimal points. Therefore, if a student scores A in four subjects and fail in the fifth, his CGPA would be 4.0.

The actual range of scores within each grade is undisclosed and changes annually, depending on the performance of the candidates. Usually, the range of marks of science subjects is higher than non-science subjects.

Cumulative and subject GPA at 2.0 and above is considered a pass with credit or principal pass. GPA below 2.0 is considered a sub-fail, and a 0 is considered a fail. Admissions to local public universities requires at least a CGPA of 2.0 and above, though private universities, university colleges and colleges generally may accept student with CGPA less than 2.0.

The CGPA system in STPM poses some problems for admissions to American universities because the GPA range between 4.0 and 0 (unlike Advanced Placement range of 5.0 to 0) may understate the academic achievements of an applicant.

CGPA 1.0 - what job can I work for or further study?

In another way of putting it, you did not pass STPM. To put it simply, it is as if you haven't sat for STPM. Your highest qualification is SPM.

You can do jobs that do not need qualifications - service sector is one. You don't need a degree to be a stall manager. So if you're willing to start small, you would be able to climb up eventually. Or you can start your own business, be an entrepreneur.

If you want to further your study, you should probably look at redoing your STPM (if it's allowed), go for Foundations/A-Levels, or go for a diploma.

Just tumpang tanya, is the whole STPM / Form 6 tenure now taking 2 years or 1.5 years ?

3 semesters (half year each). The illusion of 2 years is the result of trying to align the annual intake month of university. You will sit at home for 9 months after semester 3 before knowing your placement in IPTA. Private universities usually have intake as soon as the result is released, so that case you will have a start lead. And not to say private universities try to achieve high turnover, so they have fewer break too.
