QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Sep 7 2013, 05:15 AM) GNex is still better than any of that, maybe not the S3, but that's because it came out almost 6 months later.Until now GNex is still performing so well with the latest update, while the rest are forgotten. If you got any of those phone, I feel sorry for you. QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Sep 7 2013, 05:15 AM) It's the cheapest tablet available with decent quality, how is it overpriced, and "seriously overpriced"? Really?QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Sep 7 2013, 05:15 AM) S4 Pro CPU is inferior hardware? |

QUOTE(djlah @ Sep 7 2013, 08:09 PM) now Nexus 5 spec quite predictable. now only left the camera. google promised before on focus better camera in nexus phone; any update on camera spec so far? any word on the actual sensor use? No news yet, and I'm really happy that they are using Snapdragon 800 for this Nexus. |

QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Sep 7 2013, 09:28 PM) Even with s4 pro. N4 got, 720p screen, 8mp camera, with only few bucks cheaper than Zl. Making it not a great buy. ZL came out how many months after Nexus 4? Again, almost 5 months. Nexus 4 was having one of the best hardware when it first launched. Plus, ZL is going to be another forgotten phone anyway, while Nexus 4 is going to be constantly updated with the latest OS.GNex has a pentile screen, 5mp camera. Not that beautiful, not that good battery, weak gps signal. It may has the latest OS and that is the only selling point. But If one went ahead and put Aosp on those devices, people still got better usability out of those hardware with the latest software.. N7 WAS also been jack up so much by Asus. I felt like being cheated. But the good news is Sammy finally bring N10 here with an awesome RM849 price tag! Not bad Sammy. Off course, my only criteria for comparison is nothing more than usability vs $$$. But u get the point. I hope the N5 would come at an awesome price point. Don't overpriced it. It can be done. As even apple also sell ipad here few cent cheaper than in the US. I disagree that Gnex is "not that beautiful". GNex has a minimalist black monolith front design, devoid of any branded logo, making it the one of the best looking device imo. Any form of logo in the front just makes it unbearable for me now ever since Nexus design is available. It's just the right thing to do to put user experience above own brand awareness. Battery, mine is fine even after 2 years of usage without changing battery, 3 hours+ on screen time, one day+ battery life with casual usage. Don't see the problem with its battery. Where do you even get the weak GPS signal? I have no problem using the GPS. The only complain I would have is the average camera, but still gets the job done provided there are sufficient lights, as it perform quite badly in low lights. N7 2012 was expensive probably due to the import fees if you're one of the early birds. Now you can get it quite cheaply, and it still is a better tablet than most. Everyone is hoping for a lower price, of course, that includes me, but don't assume it has inferior hardware just because of its lower price point. In fact, one of the reason Nexus 4 is awesome is due to its price:spec ratio QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 7 2013, 09:38 PM) just fan made renders, but based on the leaked dimensions and video. QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Sep 7 2013, 10:05 PM) Yup, that's that. It come so much latter, being marketed as a luxury item and being sold just slightly higher than N4. I'm glad u like your GNex but I don't find it prices worthwhile nor competitive with others. I'm not saying it bad, maybe the gps, camera, battery and data connection is a bit lower than competitive products. I never say it an inferior hardware because of it low prices. They sell at about the same price level of the competitor who put better hardware. Yes I do agree GNex is a bit too expensive at the time, but still I'd rather get a GNex given the choice since the OS support is a priority to me. Faster official update release = faster custom ROM developed. As far as I know. There's no import duties on tablets. Apple price it products fairly here. It just Asus decided to jack it up by RM300. That's what then. Now seems Asus learn it mistake and my purchase of it vivobook is about the same as what they sold overseas. So I do hope LG would do too for it nexus 5. nexus is a great product I won't denies that. But still not the best bang for the bucks, at least to me. However, it was only until Nexus 4 that they started to make the Nexus devices to have the best bang for buck deal. Nexus 7 was maybe inflated in price at that time, but that's probably due to Asus, since the official price for Nexus 7 is among the lowest compared to other tablets. They're not the best deal since we're living in Malaysia, our price are always higher than US counter parts, but right now can you say that a 16GB Nexus 4 for RM990 is not value for money? BTW, If you really want the best bang for buck, you should probably check out Xiaomi's phone, they're incredible in specs and value. This post has been edited by phantomash: Sep 7 2013, 10:24 PM |

QUOTE(djlah @ Sep 13 2013, 09:25 AM) If by removable battery design, you mean like the Gnex, then probably not. But the battery is replaceable if you have the right tools to do it.QUOTE(djlah @ Sep 13 2013, 09:37 AM) ok nvm. now hope for big capacity. previous rumors point to the Nexus 5 having only a 2300 mAh battery. any more newer update here? hopefully at lease like G2 is Non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh battery..... The battery is confirmed to be 2300mAh, from the new leaks. The battery size is can be found on the battery. IMO its illogical to think that N5 will have the same 3000mAh battery that the G2 has, considering the dimension of N5 is smaller. This post has been edited by phantomash: Sep 13 2013, 07:46 PM |

QUOTE(darth5zaft @ Sep 14 2013, 05:35 AM) nexus 4 is 990?? where? is it ori or ap? You'll have to ask the seller, you can find the thread from Garage Sale section. is the ap set can repair in malaysia? or need to send back to play store? the best i can find is nexus 10 ori for 845 Nexus 10 for 845 is serious bang for buck, if you need it or have extra cash lying around to spend, I'd say go for it. |

QUOTE(soulseeker6187 @ Sep 26 2013, 11:59 AM) note 3 win in screen size, 3GB RAM, larger battery and SD slot, but expected Nexus 5 will be cheaper. you say "win", implying that bigger screen = better. I personally prefer the smaller form factor of the Nexus 5. Slightly smaller display but much smaller body compared to the Note 3.This post has been edited by phantomash: Sep 26 2013, 06:59 PM |

QUOTE(Tsukiyomi001 @ Oct 1 2013, 05:41 PM) the back seems grey-ish, hope it's black like the N7 Probably identical to Nexus 7 2013and, although it's only 8MP, hopefully the sensor is larger QUOTE(stormlcc @ Oct 1 2013, 06:33 PM) it will be 8mp, OIS not confirm yet. |

QUOTE(piumiu @ Oct 12 2013, 02:32 PM) AP probably should arrive by December, same with the previous 2 Nexuses.QUOTE(emy_xvidia @ Oct 12 2013, 02:51 PM) yup, same goes to me! design - wise, it isn't so bad. though I hate the vertical aligned Nexus wording on the back. Wait till it is officially announced and marketed. People used to say Nexus 4 is ugly too.QUOTE(carbike @ Oct 12 2013, 03:07 PM) ehh, not really. Android has been able to slide to launch camera from lockscreen, this is just adding an icon to make things easier. |

QUOTE(Tsukiyomi001 @ Oct 13 2013, 06:35 PM) nice, woke up to good news!! there's also white, but that's about it.i really dig the design, minimalistic... though the round earpiece is a bit out of place, but that's fine... was hoping that it comes in the colour like in the leaked manual, but seems to be black instead, guess i can't have it all... GOOGLE WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? SHIP IT ALREADY, WE ALREADY KNOW EVERYTHING!! |

No hardware will be shown in 24th, so no Nexus. It's only a Google Play event.
