Just so that u know, blackberry OS 10 introduced the camera icon shortcut on the lock screen much much much earlier than the android wannabe ios 7.

personally, don't get the camera icon...
sweeping is quicker, without having to search for the icon to tap on

but i guess they're making it beginner friendly...

ie i can just swipe as i take my phone out of the pocket without looking at the screen

as for your comparison, i'd like to see something like 5s vs N5 when it comes out, since i think the hardware you are using has quite a big performance difference
