Undobtedly it will again be the smoothest android phone as all past Nexus.
But i will pass as only a 5 incher. Probably will get a used unit much later on just to test it out. |

QUOTE(demio121 @ Oct 18 2013, 04:47 PM) wah.... RM1.6k for 16GB... sure r? N4 when newly launch was 1649. Your 1.1 is now reduced price . So probably it will be in 1.6k range againNexus 4 is going for RM1.1k for 1.6GB official LG. i think 1.6k for 16GB is way too expensive for Nexus. USD349 convert to RM1.1k. i'll stay with my One if its really RM1.6k |

QUOTE(HexPhoenix @ Oct 22 2013, 07:27 AM) if no LTE coverage sure no problem liao? Let say staying in Morib, Kerteh, Raub, Jitra or Mersing, sure 1-2 years still no LTE coverage. So worth it or not to get US set? How about warranty? Any issues with the first batch of the past US set Nexus 4? Like iPhone 4 got antennagate, iPhone 5s got BSOD; similar to that. QUOTE(garylimcn @ Oct 22 2013, 08:12 AM) 3g will work as wellBut prepare for much lower resale value as LTE coverage increases over next 1 to 2 years |

QUOTE(anwarmatlani @ Nov 1 2013, 02:00 PM) There is no duty/tax on mobile phones imported in.The most if holdup at custom you need to apply Sirim permit n pay rm100 for it. RM100 allows you to import in up to 3 phones of same model. |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Nov 2 2013, 12:28 PM) he is legit, I know the guy. In fact its the same person as here: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...6922&hl=nexus+5 If this techbug chap is the same guy as this muzamil chap , than I have a serious doubt. Techbug advertised is international set while muzamil had specifically reply me his is ONLY USA set |

QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Nov 3 2013, 07:01 AM) Thanks for the reply, what if I already receive the phone and not have any sirim permit? The custom will open the phone and check for the sirim sticker? SIRIM is Malaysia certification of wireless products. You will never ever see such a Sirim sticker on imported products unless the importer stick onto it.Custom will normally not open unless is suspicious. If the delivery docs declared as phone high chance it will be holdup at custom. Than you need to apply Sirim permit at nearest Sirim center. You need pay only RM100 for it n with it you can bring in up to 3 phones same model You need to fill up 3 forms at Sirim n provide following: - courier or arrival notice - purchase detail ( email will do) of phone - printout from web specs of phone You can normally get the permit within an hour Than show this permit to custom to clear out phone There is no other duty/taxes on mobile phones import into Malaysia |

Camera shots quality on this Nexus 5. Some comparison pics too with Note 3 and HTC One
Not bad I'd say - I will be quite happy with its quality http://www.androidcentral.com/nexus-5-init...d-video-samples |

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Nov 3 2013, 12:09 PM) hi benny, Note 3 for its bigger display and SPen ( if you need such features)between nexus 5 and note 3, which one will you recommend and appreciate if you can state the reasons...just checking out any other potential things i may need to consider.. i plan to buy note 3 already until this nexus 5 came out...quite interested in the touchless control feature but other than that, i love the bigger screen size of note 3... anything 2 cents from you? thanks. Nexus 5 is still a great phone and I will not hesitate to get one now if its display size is at least 5.5 inch. 5 incher phone just doesn't attract me to use anymore. Each time I buy such phones 4.3 to 5 inch size , end up I always sold it off in less than a month solely because it stays in the drawer most of the time. For me , the main attraction in N5 is its software updates and since I already have a N7 , I can still followup the OS development with it |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Nov 5 2013, 09:59 AM) Other than good looking design, front-facing stereo boomsound speaker, and IR blaster, I seems to be can't find any more pros better than Nexus 5. I just hate the HTC one design especially the front speakers. I find it awful n looks like an after thought of just pasting on case. I prefer it hidden as in butterfly. But yet many users love it but definitely not me.The only good stuff HTC1 has over the N5 is probably its better n louder speakers N5 for me anytime over HTC1 |

QUOTE(tanjinjack @ Nov 7 2013, 12:20 PM) Just managed to dig this up. Go to the page below, under search criteria change to "item description" and search for "phone". It will say no import duty/taxes for "telephones for cellular networks or for other wireless networks". There is ABSOLUTELY NO tax/duties on mobile phones import into M'sia. At worse it is holdup at custom and you need pay RM 100 to apply Sirim permit to clear ithttp://tariff.customs.gov.my/ This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 7 2013, 12:41 PM |
