Personally I don't think the rumour for larger batter is going to pan out since in the FCC filing and the leaked manual there;s no mention of it. Still,I can't wait to get my hands on one .

what is the expected price? somewhere around RM1.5k?  drool.gif

I'm getting mine from US,so it should be less than 1.5k. Don't really care about the lack of LTE as Umobile's HSPA is fast enough for me. smile.gif

By the time Umobile has LTE in my area I think I'll already have changed to other phones. smile.gif

We should at least expect RM1649 [16GB] and 1849 [32GB] when local LG Malaysia launch. If put too high hope on below RM1.5k, you will have high disappointment. Seriously. nod.gif
*
+1 to this. Those expecting the local price by LG Malaysia to be the same as Google's Play Store is in for a big disappointment.

better check with shirogawa. us set lte =/ uk/aussie set lte

I don't care if the US set doesn't support our LTE bands since my service provider,Umobile doesn't even have LTE yet.
So far I'm already satisfied with Umobile's HSPA+ speeds biggrin.gif

Yup,the D820 [US version] doesn't support our LTE bands. The D821 [internation version] does though.

everyone is talking abt tumpang beli here and there.  i got a question....

exactly what does the "Ceramic power and volume" button does?  any superpower there?

I suppose it should feel better in the hand? The buttons on the Nexus 4 was,IMO not good enough [not enough feedback, too sunken]. Maybe this'll better? smile.gif

Guys, the UK price of £339 for the 32GB version includes VAT right? So if I asked someone to buy it back from there, the VAT will be refunded?

£339 is pretty expensive but if you deduct the VAT of 20% then it becomes cheap.

My friend's parents are there till the 6th of November so I was thinking of asking them to get it. Do they sell it in physical stores there or only through the online Google Play store? Because if it's only the latter I'm not sure if it will be delivered in time...
*
AFAIK Carphone Warehouse has them in stock, but only the 16GB version.

I was really into XZ1 before N5 came out. Now I'm in a dilemma on which to
choose.

Why I like XZ1: Processor, premium feel design, cam
Why I like N5: Processor, OS updates, cheap

Since I'll only get a phone on Jan,  XZ1 AP set would probably drop to RM16xx whereas N5 will just arrive in Malaysia. 32gb N5 by then would be RM16xx I think?

So more or less the same. Can u give me some opinions please?
*
I was in the same boat as you before, but the xz1's screen is a huge turn off. Sure some people got units with perfect screens, but some people also got bad screens which has no purpose in a high end phone. Other than that they are pretty equal, the xz1 has the better hardware while the n5 has the better software.

Why turn off? If you mean the viewing angles of the phone, then I'm totally fine with it. Who would actually view the screen at an awkward angle?
*
The viewing angles are not much of a problem,it's the high black levels + yellowish whites that i can't stand.

The glass must be really thin. The angle at which the phone hits the ground also plays an important role in determing whether the glass will break or not.

Ohh. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the yellowish screen is only a problem for the earlier batch of phones?

This I'm not sure, but I don't want to play panel lottery by getting the Z1. I've had enough of that from back in the HTC Sensation days.

Do you have any 720P and 1080P Hi10p videos you can try playing? I want to know whether it's smooth as a pc or still stuttery like the Nexus 4. smile.gif
