Hi,
Not sure how many people out there are facing this problem.
I just got myself Astro IPTV (10MB package) with a second decoder (multiroom).
Appears that the second decoder is using one of the LAN port from the Main modem from the first decoder. (this is how the connection was made by ASTRO)
The LAN port goes straight to the 2nd decoder.
I think it really makes sense as the LAN port carries internet bandwidth as well as the IPTV.

However, i found an issue when connecting the LAN port to a switch router (X3000 Linksys) so that I can split the internet access to WIFI and LAN.
I notice that when you are watching ASTRO from the 2nd decoder (of course connected to the router), the internet connection from router WIFI and other LAN port has totally disabled.
Perhaps the router is not smart enough to split the internet bandwidth with the IPTV causing the entire bandwidth from the LAN port to be used when ASTRO is turned ON.

Anyone faced this problem?
Any solution? Perhaps recommending a model of router so that internet access is still available when ASTRO is turned ON.

Thanks.

Regards,
Chai

In summary, the internet access seems to be interrupted when ASTRO is enabled. This only happens on the 2nd decoder.

Thanks.
