The newest box is said to be running Android. However it doesn't have VFD on the front and is smaller.

no need lose old number... just get new Unifi, Transfer the number to ur new account... was told by TM that it's possible, however i didn't want to go through the trouble.

mayb just stereo audio with generic player like vlc, and not dts as that requires license...

hoho yeah, would be a good budget player for those who dont wanna spend extra on another device at home. I also dont need another box now so I dont think i will be asking TM to change my box to an Android one

New vs Old box - The difference is not obvious in the video quality is it?

Idk, never seen the new box up close yet. Only thing I know is that it runs android, it can be rooted, and it's dual mode and can be used over Streamyx 4Mbps and 8Mbps lines as well aside from UniFi- old boxes only work with UniFi fiber.

What is happening to RTL CBS Entertainment, nowadays hardly I see it as a HD despite the icon says that....?

My family is following X Factor UK, the new season has has started and this is will be the 2nd week.

It's very obvious that RTL CBS Entertainment and Extreme channels have been secretly downgraded to SD.

kinda agree with you.. these two channel seems pretty blur and the sharpness have been reduced gradually..

Idk why people would want Assteruk inhouse channel. Isn't it better to ask for Indon channels directly (barring the fact that we already have MNC?)

Just made a little comment in their facebook about HD for RTL, they said it is in HD, must be they don't know between HD and SD in comparison.

About Awani and Oasis, I believe hypptv have to import local contents from other company as they are lacking their own channel that provides local malay language contents. Hypp Sensasi ch116 is supposed to do that, but it is not up to the expectation, maybe as it is similar to channel Emas that been pulled out recently.

i just noticed rtl cbs channels r listed as "more" on their website.

so, is it becos they r trial channels, they been mucking around hd n sd?

Hmmm... Maybe you're right- maybe they're messing around with the compression and this time they set compression level too low. It's a possibility since low compression will result in poor PQ even at HD resolution.

Understood about Awani and Oasis. I thought Awani was an Indon channel, my bad. Should note that Emas is actually run by Media Prima tho, but transmitted exclusively by TM over HyppTV.

Highly doubtful if these channels are in trial for so long. Maybe it's because there is not enough subscribers taking that channel?

i see...

after a couple of weeks of megapack, all i can say is it is reasonable overall. more so for me as they refused to grant me lower pirce for vip10 after 3 yrs like they do to others, but gave the megapack instead. so it's "foc" so to speak.

i quite like the setup in terms if using 99 and 100, easy to navigate, very stable. more stable and more reliable than xbmc or cloudtv. i like iconcerts and natgeo people hd. i also notice there are some good tv series - house of cards, fringe, under the dome - but i hv watched most of them already. lastly, i like to be able to watch some old chinese/japanese/korean movies in rubypack, no need to hunt them down elsewhere. just turn it on, let it play...
