After discussing with waifu, decided not to take. Reason, sick with hypptv channel & plan to take Astruk once move to new place.

Calling 100 for streamyx to check my packs subscription status is really a pain, the voice ask me to tekan ni this and that and nowhere I am able to talk to the CS.

i believe there is mega-jumbo conversion, for VIP10 u need to pay RM209,vip20 RM259

well, managed to talk to the hypptv unit. My packs already exceeding 12 months contract, but just to share what CS told me, the subscription will keep going until we ask them to stop. There is no auto pack disconnection even we already passed the 12 month contract. Needless to say how cerdik TM doing their job.

bro.. just to share on my usage.. since Astruk come with Astro On the Go, I stop subscribing Astro at my stayinng place... But, I subscribe at my hometown (for my parents) with almost full package and utilising On the Go for FREE since I got 10mbps speed with me... Plus, with most programmes view-able through live streaming these days, I don't see why we need to subscribe Astro unless we are not IT savvy like me old man in my home town...
So, for me... I rather waste my money on the higher speed with any extra bonus by hypptv...
Anyway, just my 2 cents...

i think this is same as your mobile internet postpaid right? for example u subscribe digi 1gb with contract for 12 months, after finished contract, u still can cont use that plan until u decide to terminate no?

if for example u like that plan (mega/platinum) dll, and if its auto terminate, then u want to cont that pack but unavailable, would u like it?

I don't know about Digi or any postpaid plan, best practice should be they have inform the customer of the status, either to continue with new subscription. Most users forgotten about expiry period, during that we have to pay the subscription on monthly... the longer the more we have to pay. They have courtesy to give a call reminding the bill due date then why not for this.

that, as explained to me by the guy on the phone is becos of some "champion" deal that i n others are on - full vip10 price, get mega free. so, for this kind, they see my megapack as "zero value". cannot use to trade to swap/upgrade. probably applicable to those who pay full-full, i.e rm199 (or rm179?)+rm50 for mega - this one, i hv no idea how many are paying that...


all in all, it is a mess... becos they hv been doing all kinds of promotions. diff prices. diff hypptv packs. with diff agents. in diff areas. some house some highrise. some no competition, some intense competition. so.... either they can't find an amicable way of getting out of the mess or they really aren't bothered with existing vip10 customers.
