that, as explained to me by the guy on the phone is becos of some "champion" deal that i n others are on - full vip10 price, get mega free. so, for this kind, they see my megapack as "zero value". cannot use to trade to swap/upgrade. probably applicable to those who pay full-full, i.e rm199 (or rm179?)+rm50 for mega - this one, i hv no idea how many are paying that...
all in all, it is a mess... becos they hv been doing all kinds of promotions. diff prices. diff hypptv packs. with diff agents. in diff areas. some house some highrise. some no competition, some intense competition. so.... either they can't find an amicable way of getting out of the mess or they really aren't bothered with existing vip10 customers.

Previously im using streamyx 384kbps

On sept 2013 i upgrade to streamyx 8mbps + platinum and sport

Yesterday i went to tm point ..to change from platinum+sport to jumbo..officer there told me. The contract is 24months..so if i want to upgrade i have to pay penalty which rm5 per channel(rm 5- cbs extreme and rm5 for cinemaworld) untill 24months of my subscription..what the......

I was tempted to 'upgrade' when they ring me a couple of days ago. But after hearing there's a new contract, I said, no thanks.

this is the 4th time i m saying this: there is no such conversion with rm10.

or you have done it?

yes, that's right.

hd can only be delivered to hdtv via hdmi, whether input is astro hd, hypptv hd or bluray or hd media files.

I don't think TM has control over such.. 

I am now on basic free channels, officially no premium packs as already asked TM to terminate mega and sports.

If you have the jumbo pack (since you wanted to upgrade the speed to 10mbps anyway) you may actually sell the HYPP TV everywhere logins to 2 people at say, RM20 each? They get to see everything you have on HYPP TV.

yup, there are many channels but as what you said hardly watch them. Not to mention some we can watch it for free from the internet.

off topic a bit, a friend of mine introduced me 3rd party pack of various local channels, indo , chinese, popular documentaries, sports, etc etc to be subscribed on rm40/month, mostly all are in HD. One of the reason I am terminating hypp packs.

yup, I can understand that the risk to be taken, but not a priority so far.

In this vod ages,  if u cant provide quality content and competitive price mean it will be slow die.  I wonder why tm can't provide more channel seems there are so many good quality channel more than what astro can offer.

whether hypptv or astro or rtm, i find none of them offer enough of what i want!

as long as there are 4-5 channels i can watch, it's alright. but i will not pay more for incremental offers.

the good news is the rest, vod or live, with 5-10mbps, u can get a lot on yr own, albeit some work and another device.

it's better to find alternatives on yr own rather than fret over them as they will never catch up with the latest or the best, esp for urban viewers who r naturally more demanding .
