Very nice. The reason for the large top and bottom bezels are entirely due to the anorexia of the device, coz the mainboard and daughterboard are the ones taking up all the bezel space.

Another 2mm thickness and the device could have been shorter. Looks like the back panel is just glue plus a thin O-ring. I wonder how the Sony center deals with RMAs and waterproofing of repaired units.

Uh...a lot of noise. Looks like any typical phonecam pic at night. I'm pretty sure the flash wouldn't have helped if it had one.

actually i'm more hoping of a compact device with mid to high class phone camera & good sound...i dont see the bottom speaker grill like previous prototype, nor mentioning of any walkman chip in Honami...rasa agak kecewa with this

Just sharing a photo taken  during my trip to singapore late evening yesterday.

Been using the xzu for almost 2weeks now but honestly I am still not very impressed with it. This is the first sony smartphone ive ever used n this is my POV    :

The goods:
-Superb 6.5" 1080 display..a bit whitish when crank to full brightness
-Super sexy n super thin....top notch build quality..
-Camera seem to be very nice in good lighting.. The front cam is good as well
-Speedy fast phone..opening n closing apps good, multitasking good.
-Good battery life.. Am impressed with the power even with the big display

The bads:
-Super bad speaker..listening music, movies n youtube with loud speaker is a real nightmare for me! I reallyx3 hate the speaker!
-I will never wake up in the morning if I use this phone as my alarm clock!
-Using the headphones doesnt really help as well.. Till now I still cant find the right adjustments to suit my ears! Tuning to 8tracks with the headphones made my cry..haha
-Bad os overlay..very glitchy at times if u put widgets on the homescreens
-Dont take pictures at night! Just memorize the moment! Lol!
-The pencil feature thing is a useless crap
-Hate the usb port n headset jack location..shud be on top or bottom instead of the sides

For now, im starting to miss my mighty note 2 already..
This is my personal POV n im just an average user..no bashing please..just feel like sharing...

Dedicated Audio chip is present. It just isn't from Sony. All snapdragon 800 has a built in 5.1 surround sound for the headset made by some supposedly big deal company.

Any one with ZU can comment on the music quality via headphones?  I usually find tegra like on the previous Sony tablet make a better sound than Qualcomm

I dislike ultrapixel But ya should wait since Sept have a lot flagship coming

I have said many times the writing of the XZU cannot compare to Note 2. If I rate Note 2 a 10 for smoothness, accuracy n speed the XZU will only score a 1-2. Forget about extensive writing on the XZU and most probably you will want to throw the phone if you wish to do that. Taking short notes is still OK
I can write quite OK ( with very slow speed )  and better with pencil but than only for few words notes.
With the SP on, now the pen is now hopeless and worse. Can forget about using it to write
Pencil use 2B type. For pen - you just need to test out with what you have

Finally I manage to find only one old ( inkless ) ballpen that works perfectly and seamlessly ( as well as the pencil) for writing, pointing to launch apps, typing on keyboard, sketching etc . I have 14 of such old inkless ballpen of various brands/types
I got this pen while attending an exhibition about 2 years ago at Suntec Singapore. It is more convenient to carry a pen than a pencil to use with this phone
So it is true some ballpen points can work !!

have been using iphone for many years, xzu is my first android gadget.

have been facing the same issue regarding the scrolling > clicking issue. previously was terrible when i was using the sp, but the frequency has reduced after i removed it (am using it naked now).

am still having the scrolling > clicking issue from time to time, but it seems that no one else is having the same issue here except me...
