its normal if ur data plan is active
when wifi auto disconnect or some reason it disconnected, it will reconnect back to ur data plan because u on it.. if not on, it wont connect to data plan

btw those who still facing overheating problems can try this steps
1) disable wakeup knock, disable auto brightness,
2) install another launcher, remove lenovo launcher
3) root, underclock from 2ghz to 1.8ghz or lower....
4) remove bloatware
5) use advance task killer + juice defender

easy to say, find ways to let ur phone work less
whether is thru software or hardware..

for battery update issue
let the phone drain till really 0%
let it auto shutdown,
put it in charge. wait for the lenovo to boot n stuff
wait 1 min.. press the on button and volume down until ur phone lights up.
leave it to charge till 100.. DO NOT DO ANYTHING TILL THEN
if it doesnt work... remove that lenovo power software LOL...

i would say try finding at xda forums. they do have for some phones the stock roms, not sure bout ascend though haha
have u tried googling? or maybe searching at Huawei's webpage, just incase their support section allows u to roms

based on my experience. flashing ur phone to another firmware, u completely wipe out all factory stuff inside ur phone.
if u do a factory reset, it will revert back to the time u first flashed ur phone.

when it update, or our phones update
its considered flashing.
so when u restore, it will go back to the initial point

well the stock launcher is abit sluggish and pretty heavy, it got some glitches. it seems to make the GPU run pretty hard.
Whereas for nova launcher or go launcher, RAM consumption is abit high, but u dont feel the lag, no glitches or stucks between transition, seems to have less heat for normal use. gaming, browsing all unaffected, phone still heats up based on my observation la ~ haha.
if xda comes out with more mods, i wish they can permanently remove lenovo's heavy skin. replace with stock JellyBean skin. lol

lenovo skin, like if u scroll down the notification bar, it is customized accordingly to lenovo. not like jelly bean's
when ur in setting's menu. when u click about phone, the summary bout ur phone differs from the stock jelly bean, comes out with lenovo logo, etc etc
