QUOTE(apisfires @ Jan 1 2014, 08:42 PM) ah i try it myself, cant use d, why make region restriction? stupid Microsoft no need my money? Not all apps are meant for worldwide purpose though. Like for a AES detection app, users from US or EU region don't need it since it can't be used there. But I do agree that some apps that are common but yet not available at our region(not sure if it's Microsoft's problem or the app developer's problem This post has been edited by wcypierre: Jan 2 2014, 02:09 PM

The reason of why the update is made is because you can directly initiate any action in the action center without the need to enter your pin/password if you have it enabled which is a security concern.

QUOTE(ameri @ Jun 16 2014, 11:57 AM) Which update are u referring to? I still can't disable action center when the phone is locked. 8.10.12397.895, for this version, it requires you to enter your pin/password before you can disable/enable the action center This post has been edited by wcypierre: Jun 17 2014, 07:51 AM

QUOTE(ashdwoers @ Jun 17 2014, 02:45 PM) care to explain more? i didnt find anything new in this update about the action center just untick show notification when phone is locked still confused which feature u talkng bout Set pin/password for your phone, lock your screen and try to enable/disable any of the features like airplane, wifi, rotation lock and etc and you will notice that you can do it without entering your pin/password when the screen is locked in the previous version, but in the latest version it has already been fixed where you do need to enter it before enabling/disabling it

QUOTE(ameri @ Jun 18 2014, 03:27 PM) now i get it. the way they make the action center visible leaves the perception that u can click on it. turns out it requires password to toggle settings in the action center once u click on it. it is not a perception in the previous version tbh, you can actually click on it and disable/enable it.

QUOTE(ameri @ Jun 18 2014, 06:51 PM) i know what u mean. yes, i'm referring to this new update which i just only know thanks to u. by perception i mean after this new update, i don't bother to check whether we can toggle the setting in action center in a lock state because the way they made it visible. ah okay. I've misunderstood what you've said then. True that, and I find a bit weird that we can view the notifications without having to enter the pass/pin to unlock the screen
