The Nintendo DS is still lording it over the Japanese gaming market, nabbing more than 70 percent of games hardware sales in April. During the same period, the Xbox 360 couldn't even break the 1 percent barrier.

Media Create said that 138,000 Nintendo DS units and 690,000 DS Lites were sold in April. That's about 12 percent and 60 percent of hardware sales in Japan, respectively. The PSP seems to be flagging with 130,000 sold, but that's compared to 10,700 units for the Xbox 360, which is proving less popular than even the Game Boy Micro.

One thing I dont like about x360 is that they are still using DVD instead of the new HD-DVD, making it little bit no future proof.
