there will be a HD DVD addon drive so it is 'future proofed' already

my mistake then. but as Matrix said, I too don't quite see the need to have games on HDDVD/BD. Worse come to worst, a little disc swapping can't hurt no?

I actually hate Sony for screwing up the F1 videogame market, screwing up the CD spine design of the Revenge of the Sith OST, screwing up the expanded OST release of The Phantom Menace, not giving us expanded releases of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith because their screwed up Phantom Menace expanded release sold like shit, screwing up Nikon with their dslr CCDs (which honestly arent THAT bad but still quite a bit behind Canon's), having stupid 8mb memory cards on the PS2 (RM60 for EIGHT MB? Gosh..) and finally screwing up the PS3 controller with no vibration.

I havent seen any proof of that too. FF games have gotten easier and now come with pretty boys. If thats not going mainstream, what is?

How does the Xbox lack in game titles? Even if they are behind, it isnt a huge gap. GTA and RE are now cross platform, leaving only Final Fantasy (any new news about SE considering other platforms to release on as well?) and MGS. And how can you dismiss Halo just like that? Its an absolute killer franchise.

I meant in sales. Halo's level designs were repetitive no doubt especially indoors but the combat was always varied and excellent. Havent played Halo 2 yet though
