After test driving the car twice at 2 difference showroom, I've decided to order a unit. So right now Im waiting for my car to arrive at the showroom. Cant wait to abuse the darn thing biggrin.gif

The main thing that concern me is the tires. Im not too fond of Achilles brand, what do you guys think? should i use it or change to a better tires?

hey bro, can i know how do you felt about the stock tires, does it have enough grip to tackle corners? Im asking this because I like to take fast corner, so the tires is my big concern especially during this raining season

if sure ur are hard-corner kakis, then the achilles tyre will not suite you i guess.
better looking for softer compound..if soft-conering i think std tyre is sufficient

I dont take corner fast, so i don't think I can say how good the tyre is for that purpose. Let alone during rain. Unless you're on a track, don't take corner too fast in rain lah.
*
Hehe i just thought it would be a waste not to use the car handling advantage if i drive slow. Taking corner would really be great if the car is fitted with better tires. Well, I think it wont be that bad since the stock tire is already 17 inch. That size should be sufficient for normal driving.

Me too. I was just showing out the point of heavy = more stable is true. Maybe you can try sit in a 2.5 ton RR or a 10 ton lorry and feel it yourself.  Or maybe u can go check back high school physics textbook. Why dont u use a 850kg viva compare to vios ? Instead of using lambo 6th element , which is made of carbon fiber and plastic that cost 2mil pound ? You can reduce weight, but it is not practical and economical. Car makers now are trying very hard to reduce weight with the use of alluminium engine block, carbon fiber is still a long long way for normal daily car. Even a bicycle that is made of carbon fiber cost RM 10k.
*
its true that heavy = more stable, but handling and breaking will be a bit of a challenge too. thats what RR is facing previous generation before. Lucky they finally found a sweet spot with the new RR sport. That car is a beast and handle well too thumbup.gif

handling goes with stability c'mon.  doh.gif
unless you car is just gonna go straight all the way. try manoeuvring a heavy car that has crappy suspension and prove to me how stable you can be in that car.

A lot of factors goes into a good handling car, hence more stable.
and by saying heavy = more stable is just pure ignorant claim.

I rest my case.
*
lol im just saying this because i usually drove a Hiace at my workplace and when speeding with load, the driving felt more solid. I was surprise how easy to achieve 140kmp when there is load inside the van. but the down side of this is the handling, it take a lil bit effort to take tight corners because the steering felt heavy.

So why did i said that heavy = more stable is true, because you wont feel floating if you drive fast. hence make the ride more stable.

so mr volt, hopefully ur problem solved. u can choose 2 mode. one push, all unlock or one push, driver's only, 2nd push, all unlock.

many things related to abcm,as long as electronics involved n sensors. i must say, many cars has the modules, but even with basic bcm as in exora,it serve more functions than any mpv twice its price. even estima jdm dont have all the functions as per exora.

not saying exora = estima, not at all, just talking about function of bcm.

rain sensor, light sensor, push start button n etc are part of bcm. even impact sensors, airbags sensors, speed sensors are communicating with bcm to triggers automatic hazard light during emergency braking n accidents, auto unlock the door during collision after airbags deployment to ease rescue operation.

thats for safety,it also has security function n also some for comfort/luxury feeling.

if u understand the functions n fully utilise all the abcm function, then u maybe fall in love for the 2nd time for ur ride.

yup, went down to the car park and try it out. Work like magic, thanks a million. biggrin.gif
going to reread the manual again, might find other useful features that i didnt know

Im actually compelling to change my rims too but decided to hold it cos the stock tyre perform quite good after some 'minor abuse' on the corner.

Already done 2 major service on my car, so far its not that bad. Price is just a lil bit pricier then my alza. The only thing that cost alot is the timing belt.

Regarding the warranty, as long you dont mod the engine you should be fine. I already change my rim, air filter and radio HU to after market. Proton center didnt seem to have problem when i claim some engine parts last time.

I just wish their service would be a lil bit better cause when something isnt right about the car, they always say its normal. Lol I drove the car every day for more then 3 years, Im already familiar with the car and i know when there is something wrong with the car...
