Let me try to explain from my point of view. BASED on main events, excluding prelims.

Alliance is the type of team that will draft same pool of heroes, eg. puck/alchemist/kotl/naga siren/chen. Playstyle is rather boring to watch due to recycle formula, that is farm then push and doesnt involve a lot of teamfight, most of their match only consist of teamfight near bases, defending their base or sieging opponent bases or near roshan pit.
Lane will be setup as defensive trilane with LODA/EGM/AKKE, solo mid S4, hardlaner ADMIRALBULLDOG. They also rarely do any offensive trilane.

Alliance lineup:-
S4 - solo mid player/drafter/captain, their initiator and often use puck/batrider/dragon knight. During teamfight, he would always aim for support, killing them instantly with help of blink dagger on puck or manfight opponent carry when he is DK. overall have great mapsense and positioning during teamfight. otherwise just normal solo mid and doesnt always win his mid lane.
Loda - carry, most use heroes would be phantom lancer/anti-mage/alchemist/gyrocopter, nothing special about this guy, he just farm and get core items ASAP as most carry does. rarely do any mistake and very single dimensional player that is farm to win. This guy is often Alliance second core as S4 often manage to shutdown other team during teamfight. However, if S4 or Admiralbulldog is shutdown, Alliance will standback and avoid teamfight as much as posible waiting Loda to farm his core items. Dk however manage to beat them with this tactic, shutting down S4 and admiralbulldog and not allowing Loda to farm by forcing teamfight.
AdmiralBulldog - offlaner, the only significant heroes is lone druid and nature prophet. BEST LD player around, opponent always ban LD when this guy is playing. Can play successful NP, mostly just splitpushing and have great mapsense. However, if this guy is shutdown, alliance lost half of their map control as shown in the second game with DK. A very significant player within the team and the third core.
Akke - Support player in the team, play heroes that require micro such as KOTL and chen. Not a lot is outstanding with his play, most is rushing level 6 and mekanism to heal the team during teamfight.
EGM - Support player in the team, significant heroes are Naga siren and Visage. Involve saving teammate using song of the siren with naga siren and locking opponent carry with ensnare. Strong naga siren player, his item build will always as following, arcane boot, urn of shadow, and haven halberd.

EARLY GAME
EVERYONE FARM! When you watch theirs match, first 10 minutes will involve everyone farming, support will stack and pull.
Most commonly, at 6-8 minutes, they will push top lane claiming the top tier-1.

MIDGAME, establish map control using Nature prophet, force teamfight if S4 is farmed otherwise will start pushing and pressuring towers with chen's creep /visage bird/nature prophet's treants/DK's poison attack.
IF FAILED, standback and let LODA farm, avoid teamfight at all cost and let Nature prophet splitpush or KOTL to defend base.

LATEGAME, this is when LODA will shine as most of his core items is out. Will probably do something roshan's trap or spitpush with nature prophet and illusion. As seen with first game against LGD.cn, they use nature prophet and PL illusion to tick down tier-3 towers and barracks with illusion and treants.

I though what DK did in game 2 is a good strategy to bring alliance. Basically DK is using alliance strategy by using alliance splitpush/am splitpush and locking down nature prophet with beastmaster?

basically DK rarely teamfight as well, just letting am farm his way while bm hunting furion.

btw, any news about the documentary movie "Free To Play" by Valve?
Any first impressions and or even spoiler?
