Mr BenQ, is the GW2255 available with the newer flicker-free DC backlight control? Apparently new production based on these part numbers are updated - 9H.LA2LA.DPE / 9H.LA2LB.DPE / 9H.LA2LA.DPU

QUOTE(Mr BenQ @ Nov 12 2013, 06:50 PM) Hi ADJ, thanks. only GW2255 is within my budget Apology for the slow reply. We have just confirmed that the current GW2255 in the market are still yet to be upgraded with the latest flicker free technology. You may have to wait till the current stock is phased out or seek for alternative Flicker free options such as the GW2760 or the XL gaming series monitors. Thank you ! Mr.BenQ |

Hi Mr BenQ, how does the VW2245Z compare to the GW2255 other than the flicker free feature?

QUOTE(Mr BenQ @ Nov 21 2013, 02:14 PM) These two models are almost identical in terms of specs, I would say it is the flicker free feature that differentiates the price tag. You may also consider about the difference in terms of design and select the one that would attract you best Thanks. Too bad the VW2245Z does not have integrated power adapter and VESA mount, if not it would be good to get cos of the flicker free.Any recommended dealer that would have the VW2245Z to view? |

finally decided to get BenQ VW2245Z over the weekend at Viewnet to replace my nearly 10 years old Viewsonic 17" VA LCD.
since on tight budget, it was either this, or the GW2255 or crappy TN panels. IPS panels were above budget, and VA was good enough for me. GW2255 had support for VESA mounts, but it wasn't relevant to me, whereas the VW2245Z was flicker-free, which sounded as a better trade-off. After setting it up on my desk, the height was just right. anyway, okay with the purchase, but just need to calibrate it well... |
