hi bro, i am really interested in this monitor, i have been looking everywhere for a 1080p monitor that has HDR support. i have few questions i hope u might able to provide the answer.
1. is the monitor highly reflective? currently im using Dell s2715, the display is nice except this monitor too reflective as it is glossy. kinda frustrated with that.
2. how is the VA panel compare to IPS in term of viewing angle, and color shift?
3. how deep is the black? is it really black or greyish? deep black is very important for me, kinda hope can reach almost oled black level.
4. how much improvement the HDR makes? i know this isnt a TRUE HDR, but i wanna know how significant the color/image over non HDR monitor.
5. i will be using for both PC n PS4 pro, based on ur comment above, it works great with ps4 pro, but how about PC? have u test with any PC games that support HDR? how does it looks like?
thanks, really appreciate if u can provide the feedback.
@Mr BenQ , please do provide some input too

Hi uzary,
I was waiting for TTJ0530's reply as well. Before the sharing, below is my responses to your questions for your reference.

EW277HDR is matte which will meet your need.2. how is the VA panel compare to IPS in term of viewing angle, and color shift?
EW277HDR has 178/178 vertical/horizontal viewing angels. We are using an AU Optronics AHVA (Advanced Hyper-Viewing Angle) panel on EW277HDR which is a VA type panel that's designed for great color consistency and viewing angles.
3. how deep is the black? is it really black or greyish? deep black is very important for me, kinda hope can reach almost oled black level.
The color depth is 8 bits that accurately portrays 100% of Rec. 709 HDTV color standard and has a 93% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut which is used by the digital cinema industry.4. 5. how much improvement the HDR makes? i know this isnt a TRUE HDR, but i wanna know how significant the color/image over non HDR monitor. / I will be using for both PC n PS4 pro, based on ur comment above, it works great with ps4 pro, but how about PC? have u test with any PC games that support HDR? how does it looks like?
Yes it is good at PC gaming too.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed7Dcu6gdGE
EW277HDR use VA panel promising darkest dark , better than IPS; brightest bright is 300 nits, though not qualified for DislayHDR400, still offer far better than most non-HDR MNT. Wide Color Gamut is up to 93% DPI-P3, far over Display HDR600 standard (90% P3). EW277HDR Color reproduction is the obviously perceived change in HDR video. Compare EW277HDR to normal MNT, you will definitely see the difference. This post has been edited by Mr BenQ: Mar 27 2018, 01:47 PM
