Mr BenQ, i wanna ask about the audio jack input for VW2230H.
From what i see the spec of VW2230H, it doesn't have the speaker feature, may i know what is the function of audio jack on VW2230H, if the monitor doesn't come with speaker.

Also, i want to ask what type of menu control VW2230H using, Touch sensor or button pressing?
I Kinda have bad experience for the monitor that using touch sensor control, which the sensor malfunction after few years later.

Updated:

Also, i went to lowyat last week 11/30, however i can't find any VW2230H model in-stock in any major shop in lowyat, all out-of-stock......
May i know when will be this model stock arrive?   shocking.gif

Hi altk1989,

Apology for the late reply. It is confirmed now that VW2230H is an EOL ( End of Life) product and will not be available in Malaysia anymore.

Would you mind to try the other alternatives instead?

Hi Alan! We regret to inform you that this model won't be available in Malaysia for the time being sad.gif Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

However we would highly recommend the RL and XL Gaming Series monitors for casual/gaming use. For work/office, the eye-care series of monitors are really comfortable for long period usage.

Dear Mr BenQ,

Can you clarify on this? Are BenQ only provide 1 year warranty for panel in BenQ monitor. This period seems too short compared to other brand and panel is the most expensive part in a monitor
http://benq.com.my/support/information/warranty/#

Are this apply for every model (including the expensive gaming series)?

Hi zerorating,

Yes that's right. We only provide 1 year warranty (from the date of purchase) for all the panels in our monitor series.

For mainstream brands, the only ones selling good quality 120hz+, low input lag gaming monitors is Benq and Asus.

So yeah, many people are still using them.

Ezio is hardly mainstream, and the overclockable Korean ips monitors do not have 100% chance 120hz and do not have the low input lag of Benq or Asus lol.

Hi panafone,

The G-Sync gaming monitor will only be available in second half of 2014. The one we saw in CES are prototypes of the models.

That would come at a much later date as we do not have plans to bring this particular model into Malaysia market yet.

For photo editing usage, we would like to recommend you the eye-care series of GW 2760HS or the EW 2440 L . These models are best suited for professionals who spend long hours with the PC. Colour accuracy wise personally I would prefer the GW 2760 better.

Would it be possible for you to let us know your budget?

I will keep those two in mind.
Thinking of buying a monitor under 1k and the GW2760HS looks like a good deal

Hi Mr. Benq

I recently bought EW2440 from IT Hypermart, I noticed a color bleed on the lower leftside of the screen. Does it covers warranty for this?

do you mean lightbleeding on the left and right side of the screen that that produced bright line that can be see when viewing really dark colour background images(e.g dark grey), those are normal for edge-lit led backlit lcd screen, since ew2440l are having slim bezel, the led module was put really near with the lcd pixels,so the bright line is obvious on the side of the panel when viewing dark colours images, i wondered why AUO didnt use direct LED backlit (not local dimming) instead, maybe to save costs, power consumption of the led panel or just to reduce the panel size. Anyway, it didn't affecting me much unless you are working with dark static images all the time.

are your monitor color bleeding affect bright colours images, if yes, i guess you can be entitled for warranty claim.

finally decided to get BenQ VW2245Z over the weekend at Viewnet to replace my nearly 10 years old Viewsonic 17" VA LCD.

since on tight budget, it was either this, or the GW2255 or crappy TN panels. IPS panels were above budget, and VA was good enough for me.

GW2255 had support for VESA mounts, but it wasn't relevant to me, whereas the VW2245Z was flicker-free, which sounded as a better trade-off. After setting it up on my desk, the height was just right.

anyway, okay with the purchase, but just need to calibrate it well...
