Is the back plate metal or painted plastic this time round? Funny no replacable battery...
It is plastic with metallic feel n finishing
This phone hardware build is way better than HTC1:
- power button is firm n now at mid right handside. HTC1 poorly located at top n button is wobbly n sink down over time with excessive use.
-as HTC1 design outlook same which seriously I had never like. I feel the speakers looks like an afterthought pasting on front. I still prefer it hidden below casing as per Butterfly. This phone n HTC1 design had never attracted me
- NO gap issues at all
- there is a small catch at LHS which you need press down to lift off cover. Need extreme care lifting it out as back cover is fragile ( worse than even Note3 n S4).
- Boom speakers quality is excellent n must say is BEST I have heard to date.
- Fingerprint recognition I would say is average. It doesn't pick up immediately n probably is my own fingers problem. I have problems too getting it recognize at first go in the banks n immigration counter. Will be exploring this feature further
Overall I love the feeling holding it in my hands n beats the XZU n Note3.
Noted that as per HTC1, Sensation n OneX the app drawers scrolling is not seamlessly smooth unlike XZU n Note3. There is still very very slight jerkiness but still acceptable
Blinkfeed features more improved . Now you can add in your own feeds n I read is new feature in Sense 5.5. As before very very slight jerkyness too in scrolling up down the screen. There is now a handy feature at top to disable this as main homescreen.
Just finished installing 150 apps lastnight n will be testing it thoroughly next few days
And as said earlier it only support FAT32 formatted 64gb external SDcard class 10.
ACTUAL PACKAGE IN BOX : Charger ( 1.5A), Headset, USB cable and a semi hard plastic clear backcase
