my 1st post in this thread..
just wanna share..hope you guys like it..
think wanna spice things up here...
i've falling in love again in modelling...car/aircraft/open wheel racing car to be precise..
back in 2003 or 2004 (IIRC), assemble a few kits...pretty sh*tty stuff back then..n not sure where the kits now ahahah
Ok..here goes
i've build up a 1/20 formula one car..it's a Braun Tryell Honda 020..raced in the 90s..
car #3 for Saturo Nakajima
made by Tamiya..from the instruction, need 13 colors...i only buy three...very lazy (n broke actually

)
it has a honda V10 engine...engine/body shell details are quite good..
complete build in 6 days...average of 2~3hours/day...
hand painted engine parts/rear wing/radiator/suspension/exhaust...
body of this car should by sprayed with TS-24 light gun metal..but i didn't...
build it pretty straight forward..no prep on the body..no putty..no primed body...glue here and there...put on the waterslide decals...tires...a coat of cheap RM6 clear spray can...
not the best build...but i'm quite satisfy...
lesson learnt here and there...i'm gonna build this kit again in the future for sure...
enough with the babbling..
here comes some pics..
Tamiya 1/20 formula one series
completed car...9inch x 5inch x 2.5inch roughly
Honda V10 normal aspirated RA101E engine and radiator
Pirelli P Zero slick tyres
ready for racing | changing fo engine oil | garage mode
some defects..bubbling decals, kit not glued properly
next in line...
Fujimi Ford GT40 LeMans
thanks
