Hi, this phone is nice to use. Simple, fast, similar to iOS experience. Yes you can use it for wireless hotspot, just go setting and search for internet sharing, turn it on and voila~!

Surely it will get hot, but not like it will burn your hand or something, at least for me, i find it is acceptable.

yes it is. depends when you wanna buy it. if now, maybe lumia 920 would be a better choice due to cheaper price.
lumia 920 and lumia 925 is quite similar, 925 is not an upgrade of 920, but an alternative.
slim, light and more elegant feeling is for lumia 925
all in one, and cheaper, then go for it.

this one I'm not too sure as I'm not working in Microsoft.
But I believe that it is upgradable.

Windows phone 7.5 cannot be upgraded to windows phone 8 because of hardware limitation and different platform.
windows phone 7.5 is based on windows CE platform meanwhile windows phone 8 is based on windows NT platform.
windows phone 8.1 should be building based on windows NT platform as well (I guess)

Thus, i think it should be upgradable. Microsoft dont really want to write off the whole thing again, and start from zero. They have establish quite some market, dont think they wanna write it off.

but anyhow, it just my opinion, who knows what might happen next?
