Got my lumia 2 weeks ago.. biggrin.gif package includes

1)Ori phone (grey) and standard accesories (RM1435)
2)nikkin black back cover (temporary) (RM35)
3)wireless black back cover (RM150)
4)fatboy black charging pad (RM350 )
5)skinomi clear type full body protector (120)

Attached Image

total spent for phone : Around RM2090 (standard price for phones i previously have bought, but this one comes with alot more goodies)

From symbian->bb->android->windows, so far All i can say that this is the best phone ive use. Granted Im more of a business user, so i dont use the phone to store alot of pictures/files/games so the phone performs just want i expect.
I also use the phone to sync with my laptop(win 8) and fully utilize skydrive and other related win 8 apps (office 2013, etc). photo quality is superb and built in apps for camera and HERE maps is awesome.

The only 2 issue i have which is not much is that the phone gets rather warm rather quickly with having bluetooth, location ON/standby. However, nokia says that this is purely normal so im cool with that. The next reason is that wee chat, whats app loads is slower than usual (win8 version may not be as optimized as android/bb version) as it takes around 1 -1.5 sec for the conversation to load as well as the message function(copy paste function is not as robust as versions from android where u can scroll copy pasted large text with ease if u need to edit, whereas here, you cant scroll the text, if ur message is long, gotta press the back button slowly to move the pointer backwards and up). the phone doesnt lag one bit tho, just slow load/retrieve messages from server

so that is my short review of Lumia 925. I would recommend this phone to anyone who is familiar to windows 8 or just wanna give windows a shot ! IMHO, microsoft did it right this time around with lumia + windows thumbup.gif

Cheers

got my 925 yesterday... biggrin.gif
i wan to ask, is there any app to show the battery % on the live tile or something similar? everytime wan to check % have to go setting very annoying...
one more question, how to off the clock on screen saver?
*
u can search win app store for "battery". theres a few apps showing battery level on live tiles. Im using one of those. Mine doesnt update live (more like update every 10mins) but there are other infos given which can be helpful at times.

u wont regret...

Agree. While it actually depends on ur preference, but main reason why i choose 925 is that the color contrast is superb.. really bright and nice. saw somebody use 920 and the colors not soo "pop up in ur face" and even with the wireless charging case, it hardly bulky looking brows.gif

"H" means your phone is now in HSDPA connection, aka 3.5G network.

Some area you might get faster connection speed with "H+", HSPA+ connection.

For other symbol meanings on top of your phone:
http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/w...n-my-phone-mean
*
also some extra info

G is GPRS 86kbps
E is EDGE 236kbps
3G is UMTS 386kbps
H is HSDPA 3.2Mbps
H+ is HSPA 7.2Mbps
H+ is too for HSPA+ for 14.4Mbps or 21.1Mbps
(noteH and H+ are the so called 3.5G
and the new comer:
4G ( LTE technology) is 100-300 Mbps ( the iphone5 is said to be on 100Mbps)

some phones don't show H or H+ , they just show 3G for UMTS, HSDPA, HSPA, HSPA+
only G or E means it's on 2G, - that is you are not in 3G coverage

which is better in terms of overall ownership experience, 925 16GB or 920 32GB? do 925 have 32GB available in our shores?
*
personal preference really, depends on factors such as (not sorted based on priority)

1. aesthetics (slim vs bulky), (color options), etc etc
2. storage (16gb vs 32gb , how much space do u typically use on current phone) *cannot add on memory cards though, so storage is fixed.
3. trend (925 is the latest model in malaysia)
4. readily available accessories (920 doesnt need much add on while 925 needs wireless shell to wirelessly charge, not so easy to find)
5. price
6. screen resolution ( personally i feel 925 is much brighter and clear than 920)

aside from the above, 920 and 925 functions just about the same (with amber update) IMHO. So based on ur buying preference, you can decide when you go to the store to check it out and hold both in your hands.

currently, 925 in Malaysia original set doesnt have the 32GB model.
