Depend on how heavy apps user you are, and how much music/video and photo store on your phone. Initial startup the WP8 had used up 4GB of size, so you at least had 11GB+ size remain.

Other storage problem had been fixed by Microsoft on their latest GDR2 update (Lumia 925 is pre-loaded when out of the box). This time the OS will properly clean up the temporary cache file on the phone, but the phone still will cache some temporary file for quick access later.

Check through the Apps Store for Apps details/description for each apps you had downloaded, check their last updated date.

Make sure each one last updated is year 2013 onwards.

Try to use web browser to login to your wifi modem/router. Inside there, check the wifi channel, make sure the channel number is within 1-12

If within the range, try change other channel no. and use your Lumia phone to connect the modem and see.

925 already pre-loaded with latest firmware (Lumia Amber) when coming out of factory.

Yes 925 can receive GDR3 update, but need to wait Nokia bundle with their firmware update (Lumia Black) and release to our phone.
