May I know what's the current price for the S4? The S4 mini has dropped from 1499 to 1399.
I'm still thinking whether to get the S4 or S4 mini. Even though the S4 is more powerful, I feel its a bit too big for me and the size of the S4 mini is just right.
Is there anything really great about the S4 that's worth for me to take it and ignore the size?
Don't care about the better camera because the camera on S4 mini is already good enough.
Also don't care about those hand gesture features that's available on S4 but not on S4 mini because I heard they're not that useful anyway.
Also don't care about the more powerful S4 processor because I don't multitask that often.
The bigger S4 screen and pixels also does not interest me.

I'm still a phone newbie so... should I get the S4 3G or S4 LTE? I heard LTE is more expensive and better but is LTE really necessary?

lte only if your area is within coverage.

I'm in the Bandar Sunway/Kelana Jaya area... which most likely has coverage. Is lte really worth it and any of you guys using it and has good experience?

me, nice la got unifi speed even on the go. brows.gif

what's your common usage? gaming or just normal browsing?
*
I use around 1GB a month and its mostly for normal browsing. But I feel that even normal browsing is slow so I guess I'll go for LTE then since everyone have good experience with it.

after being tricked into buying a fake Urban Armor Gear casing from one of the sellers here in LYN, I finally bought the original one during my recent trip to Singapore from istore.com.sg.

here's how to differentiate original & fake UAG casings. Original on the left and fake on the right.

Do you know how much does it cost here and where can I get it? Anyone else knows a good armor casing for the S4? I'm looking for something light and not bulky. I don't want casings that requires you to flip it open.

Any other casing that can protect your phone even if it drops from your head? I sometimes put it on my head to balance it when I'm bored. Just saw the S4 UAG drop test and the phone still seems to be alive after dropping it a few time.

Thanks! Planning to get S4 9500 by end of the month. Lazada selling it for 1729 and seems to be the cheapest one I've seen (anyone knows if its ap or ori?). http://www.lazada.com.my/GENUINE-Samsung-G...ack-150540.html

Was planning to get the Sony Smartwatch (I already have the previous version) or Pebble but put it on hold to check out the Gear. Turns out to be a dissapointment. It's damn ugly (compared to Sony and Pebble) and there isn't any new feature that isn't available on other smartwatches (except maybe the camera and mic but who uses those on a watch?). It's also reported that there's a dock to charge the watch and if you don't take the dock with you, you can't charge your watch. The price is $299 which is double the price of Sony/Pebble and it only works with Note 3 for now.

Wanna check... which will make the battery drain faster?
1. Connected to wifi all the time even when screen is off
2. Use mobile data when screen is off and only connect to wifi when you swipe the screen on

Guys, I'm in dilemma between buying the extra battery kit (RM189) or a powerbank (Yoobao's 13000mAh at RM155).

Which one is more worth it?
Anyone have the extra battery kit?
*
Powerbank is more worth it because you don't have to switch off the phone and replace the battery. You can also use the powerbank to charge other devices. You can even use the powerbank to charge your phone two times or more depending on the mAh. But that's only if you don't mind the powerbank connected to your phone all the time when charging. Some people find it a hassle to have the power bank dangling around.

Previously I had to choose between S4 and HTC One. Since I'm a newbie, rooting wasn't really important. Whats important is I get to expand the memory/transfer files easily using SD card and also replace the battery easily if needed. So it was a no brainer.
I just hope I made the right choice.

Why not HTC Butterfly S?

Even between S4 and HTC One, I advise you go for HTC One. You wont regret with the 32GB internal memory of HTC vs 16GB internal memory of S4.

Please read how many ppl complain S4 only left with 10GB when they got their phones and no space to install 3-4 apps that is above 1GB each.

S4 got microSD? what the use where you can only install apps and games at the internal memory.....

Not to mention the dual stereo front speakers which S4 dont have.
*
I guess it really depends on what you use the phone for. I only have about 8GB of space to use but since I mostly use my phone to do a bit of browsing, take pics and watch videos (all which are stored in the SD card), internal memory was never a big issue because I don't install big apps like games (I have an ipod touch for that because well, Apple games are much better than Android). No matter how much memory you have there will always come a time when you want more so its safer to go with one with an SD card so your recorded videos or pics won't eat up your internal space.
As for speakers, I almost never use them. Prefer earphones.

I used to have a Galaxy W and the battery only got fat after overcharging for a year. Guess I was lucky it happened much later than usual. It was so fat until cannot cover the back. Threw it away and replaced with S4 after that.
