Long time no post here..but I have to share this now As some of you know, I posted about memory card issues in the last version of the thread (I think =s)..I assumed it was my SanDisk memory card causing problems and here's a recap and update Very long story » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « After getting the Galaxy S4, I got myself the SanDisk 32gb Memory card (for Android phones)
Started using and find out that the phone occasionally drops the card and I was not able to take photos and store on the SD card..the card date also resets to 01/01/1970 (even though it was formatted in the phone on a date of 2013)
After searching online and finding that SanDisk had issues with their cards..I gave up and used my Samsung 8GB Class 2 memory card from my previous phone and abandon the SanDisk into my table
I formatted (via the phone) and had no issues with this card..however..8gb wasn't sufficient for me as I require to snap photos/videos for my job (I'm too lazy to carry a digicam as it's bulky)
I decided to get a Kingston 16Gb Class 10 memory card for the phone.
The night I got it..I formatted the card (via the phone as usual) after slotting in..and copied over all my photos, it all went well.
The next morning I wake up to see a notice of "SD Card unexpectedly remove" and I wasn't able to access the card since the card "wasn't there" even though physically in the slot
I removed and re-slotted the card and the phone doesn't detect..
I removed the Kingston, and slotted in the Samsung and it was okay
I went to office to try access the card via laptop and the office printer with memory card reader..the card can't be read..
So I sent back to the shop and was lucky to get a 1-to-1 exchange of the memory card..
Immediately I slot in the new card and formatted it via the phone..that same day..at night I tried taking a photo..guess what?
"Unable to write file in SD Card. Storage Switched to Device Storage"
Fine..I restarted the phone and it was okay..this morning I took another photo and the same error popped up..
I restarted the phone, it worked awhile and then it failed again..
I can still access the card and view previously taken photos..but I'm not able to copy/move files(photos/documents/mp3) from the phone to the card
Anyone experiencing the same issues?

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Aug 5 2013, 09:53 AM) I had problems with Sandisk Class 10 32Gb before. Occasionally unmounted on its own. Later the card totally cannot be detected on phone and PC. Cannot reformat also. I have given up on Sandisk. Now I'm using Samsung Class 10. So far so good I'm trying to save the Kingston at the moment..or else it'll be pointless to have 2 memory cards (SanDisk and Kingston) sitting at home not doing anything just because the SGS4 decides not work along these 2 brands I'm really starting to be suspicious with the phone (and maybe manufacturer) on regards of the memory card issues..

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Aug 5 2013, 01:07 PM) S4 have problem with SanDisk and Samsung sdcards..? My S4 have no problem using 64GB SanDisk Class 10 sdcard. Samsung card (from my previous phone, 8Gb Class 2) has no issues with my S4 Only my 32Gb SanDisk (for Android mobiles) and 16Gb Kingston..both class 10 QUOTE(namh @ Aug 5 2013, 01:15 PM) it is not S4 problem.. it is Sandisk problem.. Sandisk itself acknowledged they produce some 32gb and 64gb problem memory card.. sos below: SanDisk says it produced some bad 32GB and 64GB microSD cardsif you appear to have problem with sandisk card, faster go exchange to new card.. I know about the SanDisk issue..that's why I never pursue about SanDisk further..and went for Kingston
