It's a sad fact that consumers in countries without strong consumer laws are denied 1-to-1 exchange even for defects arising within days of purchase. In Western countries you could just go back to the shop and exchange a new set. This is why I prefer to buy from online sites which allow returns like lazada.com.my. Their price is not the cheapest but the bit extra is worth paying as insurance.

If there is no sign of impact damage like dents, scratches and cracks there is a good chance you can claim warranty. Of course don't tell them you dropped it la.
