moonshell v1.5 is out.

File Description
old MoonShell screencapIt's been a while since we last heard from the Japanese DS coder Infantile Paralysiser, but apparently, he's been busy as he has just released MoonShell v1.5. As we all know, MoonShell is one of the most popular homebrew image viewers and media players for the Nintendo DS.

For v1.5, the creator has noted the following changes:

* Corresponded to EZ4/DSLink. I wish to express my deep gratitude to Rudolph.
* 'The cartridge of enhancing the memory of DS browser' can be used for the cache memory.
* The resume item was added. (sound volume, reproduction mode, and NDSLite backlight brightness)
* ResumeUsingWhileMusicPlaying item was added to [System] section of global.ini. The resume is preserved while performing the tune.
* The DPG format was renewed. As for the DPG file made with a new encoder, seek is fast and the image doesn't fall into disorder either. Especially, it is remarkable in a long video.

He also warns that this current version must not be mixed with older versions of MoonShell.

In any case, besides the application itself, the creator of this homebrew has also released the source as well as an MSPV40SDK plug-in, for those who might be interested.

As for the installation and other procedures, Infantile Paralysiser has also included a comprehensive FAQ and readme file in the bundle, so be sure to check those out.

3 things to download:
Filename
MoonShell v1.5 - MSPV40SDK plug-in File
MoonShell v1.5 - Source
MoonShell v1.5

any idea what is the plug-in & source for?

in the 1.21+8 version of moonshell, they have the thumbnail feature for pics but i notice that it only shows the thumbnails for the images that were already in the folder at the time of creating thumbnail. pics added later do not show the thumbnail.  besides that, a certain number of pics dun show the thumbnail altho they do show the previewon the lower screen. maybe in later versions these problems can be fixed

For proper viewing of images, I'd rather be using Image Viewer. Comes with nice stylus feature to drag around to zoom/select the pictures. Although you need to convert the bundle of picture files into a certain filetype to use it (but it's nice anyway, it's like an autopilot to compress+ create thumbnail for it)

The only good thing that I use Moonshell for right now is to convert my DSL to a mp3 player. The movie viewing thing is just a silly novelty that wears off quickly.

i mean clean as in untouched one..probably u hv deleted other files too unintentionally coz if u just messed with the theme files the brightness option will not be affected.
