which of the current 1% promo funds are good buy? I'm thinking some Alliance global equity fund to increase a little to my global exposure. hmm.gif

I've just started my portfolio not long ago, currently 100% on local equity, will soon branch out by year end to complete my portfolio.

hmm.gif can't say with 1% promo funds are a good buy.....cos it depends on what one needs....maybe for portfolio diversification or just to bet that the previous years ROI performance can repeat it self.
Alliance Global Equities.... have you read the fund fact sheet or prospectus? liked where the funds are allocated to?

hmm, i haven't read the others too, I will read them all first before I jump into any. but is there any recommendation from various consultants? haha...

ah.. that is good. Mine is hovering around 0%

how do you calculate your ROI?

example, if invest RM1,000, return of 8% means if the total NAV gives you RM1,080, then does it mean the target achieved?

Can you explain the reason for doing this doubling up the top-up amount? If follow VCA, I thought just need to top-up the amount needed to rebalance the % ratio in the portfolio?
*
this is the martingale system, it is usually being used in betting, in casino.

Hello, good evening everyone... how's your weekend so far? hope everything good thumbup.gif

we're entering the final week for the promo for global funds. i've got some money to invest and yet I don't have global exposure in my portfolio yet, which global fund do you think it's okay? and sensible to enter now? I'm thinking of AGEF or OSK-UOB GEYF hmm.gif

on the other hand, I'm thinking of buying a little of Hwang Select Asia (ex Jap) Quantum fund, do you think it is sensible to enter at such a high price?

Better to hear it from me than Pink regarding the high price of HSAQ. NAV price should not determine if you invest in a fund or not.

You should look at market valuation. PleSe refer to Post #1 Point #2 to learn in depth of NAV valuation. I remember seeing you around here quite often. So in the event where I mistaken you of what u mean when u say 'high price', I apologize in advance.
*
hmm, enter bit by bit to average down the NAV? is that what are you trying to convene? :hmmm: I was not the one who mention about the high price theory...
