We cannot tahan if most of US funds are withdrawing from Asian markets. They can initiate alot of QEs, print many money and the demand for USD will always be there. Because we basically got no alternative. Another rising super power is China, but their yuan is rigged. Only their GDP is good.

If US move their trillion dollars back into US, every assets will start to boom again. Unless they only move billions laugh.gif

QUOTE(gark @ Aug 30 2013, 12:01 PM)
Just a note.. Indonesia has revised their interest rate from 6.5% to 7.0%. Brazil also revised 8.5% to 9%. Further raise in other emerging market (including MY) will be likely.

As always bond risk in emerging market is heighten by interest rate rise. So be careful in your allocation.

Mean holding less bond fund is better idea?

Itchy to top up amdynamic. But since gark say bond no good, i guess need to hold back.

Yes ringgit is weakening and good for exports. But too bad we dont have much products to export except agriculture product. But then oil palm price is at record low. Worst part, we dont even have export business to gain benefit from weakening Ringgit vmad.gif

The fund risk is subject to interest risk, credit risk and bond yield. Few weeks ago Fitch outlook on MYR is negative. Gark say bond yield is rising. Interest is at all time low, chance might go up. So it is indeed on rising trend.

Second sentence might refer to those good AA govt/corporate bonds are in limited supply. Probably good corporate bonds are fully subscribed.

U mean any changes in IRR is it? Pretty much around there, not much changed. My highest IRR recorded during 2013 was around 6.4%, lowest about 4%++, now it's at 5.6%.

Stock portfolio no adjustment needed, UT portfolio too. Feel hand itchy icon_question.gif

Walao wei. These economists sure can bluff alot. Imagine thousand of economists came out with their own theory, then which one to believe? Rather buy on valuation (50%),economic data (30%), gut feeling (20%) laugh.gif

So you plan to enter indonesia market or not? seem attractive at the moment. hmm.gif

Why stock market no feeling on debt ceiling in US? Under normal condition, should have fire sales since US shutdown. Panic sells. Tomorrow is deadline yet no fark given by market. shocking.gif Manipulation at its finest?
