QUOTE(itsybitsy @ Oct 8 2013, 02:26 PM) Hmm..in terms of its NAV it's one month performance is -0.93%. Or we're not supposed to compare the NAV? Yes and no Just that I prefer to refer to index rather than NAV of the fund. Reason? See Post #1 TakoC, I slowly built it up from Oct 2011. Biggest lump was in July 2012. IRR dropped a lot, now only 3.6%++ I think This post has been edited by Pink Spider: Oct 8 2013, 02:37 PM

QUOTE(TakoC @ Oct 8 2013, 02:46 PM) Shouldn't your ROI be much higher? FSM reported a 'estimate return' of 10%+ in 2011 and 6%+ in 2012, total of 16%. Despite the lump in July ROI should be higher than 6%? 2-yr total return was 9%+ But I average in mar...I din buy lump sum. Biggest lump was in 2012. More or less there lar...why so anal?

QUOTE(TakoC @ Oct 8 2013, 02:56 PM) AMDYNAMIC cannot cushion my loss sometimes. So went to look look see see. The 'OTHER PERFORMANCE DATA' column (http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/fundinfo/viewFund.svdo?sedolnumber=MYAMDNMB), 2011 - 10.12%. 2010 - 9.08%. Each year is cumulative or 1 year by itself? I know you look at 'FUND PERFORMANCE (BID-TO-BID ANNUALIZED RETURNS)' column. Those figures (10.12%, 9.08% etc) are 1-Jan or that year to 31-Dec of that year), 1-year return. Instead of cushioning against equity losses, now it's equity funds (esp global ones) cushioning bond fund losses. This post has been edited by Pink Spider: Oct 8 2013, 02:58 PM

QUOTE(TakoC @ Oct 8 2013, 03:49 PM) U invested so long ago! It's like me telling people 'Wah. Ponzi Quantum superb lar.'' U dumped Carlsberg at a loss right if I remember correctly. How many % loss (ROI). Close to 10% loss (disregarding dividend, but it's too small % to be relevant anyway) It's trading at 24 times estimated 2013 full year earnings, current year estimated divvy yield 3.7%. Not worth keeping anymore IMHO

Ironically, I made more money from lesser-known mid-cap stocks than large cap big names Except for Nestle, all my large caps in red (IGBREIT, JT International)

QUOTE(gark @ Oct 9 2013, 02:20 PM) I am putting more in emerging markets...especially china, fighting the trend. US and Europe not bad..also not good... keep to allocation. The fund manyzers of the equity funds I'm holding already overweighting Asia+EM...my developed markets allocation dropped from 30%+ to low 20%+ bcos of their switch of allocation.

QUOTE(TakoC @ Oct 9 2013, 02:25 PM) I'm thinking to top up more on US and Europe too. Good time to average down my GEYF. But HSAO is badly hit too. Asia market should be quite attractive now. HSAO bad cos its ASEAN-heavy. Very little HK and close to zero Taiwan, Korea...

QUOTE(TakoC @ Oct 11 2013, 01:46 PM) No wonder from +3% drop to red lar Anyhow, where to see the distribution details if investing through FSM. First time invested through FSM funds have distributions. See centre-right of the main page Wait 1-3 weeks for the distribution to be credited to your account. What I usualy do is, I'd suspend my NAV x units calculation at the cum-distribution date. E.g. ex date is 1st Oct, i'd suspend my Pacific GSF value calculation at 30th Sep.
