Pinkgor, your OSK GEYF and HSAQ ROI very high. Both of my ROI drop cause I topped up. So % drop, monetary value increase.

Correct me if I'm wrong but XIRR tend to be more 'accurate' if investment period are done over a year. However, subsequent top up (for investor that frequently top up) will affect the accuracy of XIRR. Yes/no?

IRR will annualise returns that are made less than 1 year. Not to say it affect the "accuracy" lar, but will affect the number.

In other words, e.g. investment made 6 months ago but gave ROI 3% will give u IRR of roughly 6%; investment made 18 months ago and gave ROI 9% will give IRR of roughly 6%. Get it? wink.gif

All my funds also got top ups...but the timing of the top ups will produce different results...maybe I got lucky and topped up at relatively cheap NAV price. smile.gif
*
Affect number = accuracy.

Like buying in new funds, your XIRR will be 2 digit, as huge as 80+%

Quote a recent article from Westport chairman.

I believe investing in UT is like managing a soccer team too. "You prepare the team, train them up, and let them play their own game."

I believe the politicians will fight until the last minutes, near mid October a lot of people will be scared, as Obama has vowed NOT to give in.

But, I think they are highly unlikely to make USA default.. in fact this happen once in October 2011.. caused the market to crash 20% that time, but at 10 minutes before midnight of deadline deal was struck... looks like this time people more confident.

Since Obama lost once in 2011, if he will not lose again no matter what is the cost.... then  sweat.gif
*
I believe things are slightly different this time. Because by giving in Obamacare, it will affect his political votes.

With this platform fee thingy...u gonna invest bond funds with bank?

Say, OSK-UOB Emerging Markets Bond if u invest thru bank, the SC is 2.5%
0.2% platform fee p.a. with FSM

2.5% / 0.2% = 12.5 years

Worth to stay with FSM? hmm.gif

Btw, this platform fee charging gonna mess up my worksheet doh.gif
Have to:
(1) Insert a withdrawal entry under CMF
(2) Insert an expenses entry under the bond fund
*
AmDynamic only charges exit fee 1%, which is the same with FSM and bank. So nothing to do with platform fee.

Remember that I wanted to move all my bond to FSM, but they want me to pay up the RM50 'processing fee' mad.gif

Yes and no

Just that I prefer to refer to index rather than NAV of the fund. Reason? See Post #1 tongue.gif

TakoC, I slowly built it up from Oct 2011. Biggest lump was in July 2012. IRR dropped a lot, now only 3.6%++ I think
*
Shouldn't your ROI be much higher?

FSM reported a 'estimate return' of 10%+ in 2011 and 6%+ in 2012, total of 16%. Despite the lump in July ROI should be higher than 6%? hmm.gif
