QUOTE(TakoC @ Sep 20 2013, 07:53 PM) 0% bond fund? Not interested. I'm not touching bond fund anymore. Why not? You still need some to balance your portfolio. An asset class which does not do well now does not mean it will not do well later...

QUOTE(TakoC @ Sep 20 2013, 08:10 PM) Sifu gark, I am FI 60/40 equity now lar. I am not even 30 years old btw Age got nothing to do with portfolio allocation. It depends on risk tolerance & other external factor. But usually people advice generally that lower age should have higher risk, not applicable for all.

Ok back to topic... Many investment bank including WB predict that this budget standoff will last max until 16th October, because by 17th October debt ceiling already reach, however bad also maximum by 30th October. Now see who blink first only... By 1st November is still no solution, US of A will default on it's loans. Once that happen, US debt will be downgraded to D, US dollar will plunge in value & US stocks will crash, uS ecomony will straight away go to recession. Don't think any politician willing to take the risk of killing the mighty US of A. As the deadline getting nearer, investor will be more nervous... so it is stock picking opportunity This post has been edited by gark: Oct 4 2013, 09:57 AM
