When you need to backup data on a linux/unix system, you need root access, since linux/unix enforces strict read/write access depending on user. No luck if you're not root.

Thats bad. Plan to get a HTC BS but not plan to root it anytime soon. So wanna find a solution to backup.
Backup apps plus the apps data not possible without root ? Not the system data

Okay , finally got the Symbian nostalgic stuff loaded into my Note 2! rolleyes.gif
Quite straight forward method , export CSV file from Nokia PC Suite and then import using SMS Migrator on Android. All sms are beautifully merged into the Messages Thread. rclxm9.gif

Here is the step

1. Open your nokia pc suite on your pc, connect symbian phone and click on the Message icon
2. Select all the sms ( ALT + A )
3. Click on the file > export to CSV file.
4. Save the file and open it with notepad , do not edit anything, after open the file click save as UTF8 encoding and save eg sms.csv
5. Move the file to your android sdcard and then fire up your SMS Migrator app on your android.
6. In the App SMS Migrator
Export Software - Select Nokia PC Suite
Encoding - Select UTF-8
Select the sms.csv file that you copy earlier from PC to your sdcard.
7. Click on the file and voila , wait for it to finish load. For my case i have around 1500 SMSes and it took around 5 mins to fully loaded into SMS apps on Android.

Yeah @joytest . Its the app and its a paid app. Tried many free apps all doesnt work.

You notice most of the explosion is cause by original battery.

Thanks for advice will buy ori to reduce the risk.

i do not have good impression of the Sunglobal battery , using that on BB9900 last time and although the quoted mAH are higher , actual use are lower than ori battery. Also need to clone the battery each time the system reboot or plugged out. If bought a spare battery , Note 2 ori should be very good enough

Is it true LTE consumes more battery?
Anybody with N7105 willing to test the battery differences between LTE enabled and disabled? brows.gif

So far LTE and 3G both did not have any difference. Of couse standby E is still better than LTE.
Using it for a few months already and I am previous 7100 user. I can say its almost same.

I just came back from yamcha and my phone was working well. One thing I didn't notice is if my phone still has battery juice or not. One of my friends who is based in SG also joined us and she doesn't have a data plan in Malaysia.

So I shared hotspot with her but I didn't notice if there is any battery left. Now I came back and took out my phone, it keeps showing the start up screen but keeps blinking. doh.gif

Put in charger, the battery shows empty. (Phew) But the battery logo keeps blinking... I cannot even turn on my phone now. What can I do?

Before I left the yamcha place which is just 5 mins drive from my house, I saw green LED blinking (my WhatsApp notification). Thought of coming back only check out the messages but cannot be turned on anymore...

Thanks. Exactly the same issue as mine. notworthy.gif
Looks like mine is not an isolated case.
I'm going there to LYP SC once I'm back to KL.
Maybe you can warn this in your first page, just for precautions since there are two cases now.

I remember read somewhere else sds happen when they totally drained out the battery. After plugging the phone to charger for around 15 mins then stilll unable to boot up . Seems like draining the phone 0% will risk devices to sds.
