@joytest I may sound ignorant, but I really need to ask you.

can I download the stock kernel here >http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139919

I'm sorry to ask because your sub-title warn us about the DMF2 / DME6 stuff. it says about the version and modem.

I'm currently on version 4.1.2 rooted, stock rom and perseus kernel. I wanna flash back the stock kernel but I'm abit wary about your warning as above. please advise, thank you so much.

Bro:

Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II > Sprint Galaxy Note II Android Development > [KERNELS][CWM][ODIN] Kernel Repository - Download Them All Here! (SPH-L900)

You are probably using the N7100, or N7105 (LTE)

What is your ROM current version?

If you are already on DMF1/2 or DME6 then you have the EFS partition problem as stated in the warning. Follow their advice.

I am on stock rooted DME1 only, to avoid that hassle.

Hi, yes I'm only using SME N7100. So meaning I can't download the Sprint's kernel.

My rom version, I check about device, it is DMC3 on my phone. The samsung service centre flashed this for me. when I sent it for my SDS warranty claim. I guess I don't have the EFS partition problem.

Sorry ler, I also want to avoid hassle, all I want is just stock rooted + perseus for the swapped memory only.

Do you suggest me to do a nandroid backup with CWM recovery now? stock rooted + perseus kernel?

thanks for your suggestion.

No. Factory reset will not lose root.

A factory reset will reset you to a clean setting of whatever ROM you are on, and you will maintain your root status.

You can perform a nandroid now. You can read post 7 and go to i9000as thread and get the pre rooted stock then reflash your recovery and kernel.

Woah. Today I dropped my note 2 on a sandy rocky grounds. Didnt know how the phone slipped from my hand and it fell to the ground at the back first then flipped a few times. Had some scratches on the screen but protected with SP. And thx to the uag case no major cracks or scratches happened.

This is probably me but I think my uag case easily slips from my hand. Sometimes at night while lying on the bed and at the same time reading from my note 2 the phone can slip from my hand and drop smack on my face. Adoi..

I concur..and if recalled correctly some of our forumers here also had the same issue with UAG..being slippery thus favoring other brands..myself had same experience with you..dropped quite a few time since had this case instead of none during other case or naked (not me mind you..the phone.. whistling.gif )..

although it is a cursed and blessing case for me..sure it dropped..but at the same time it protects..so no harm has been done neither to it nor the case..overall it just looks too good for me to pass..few of my friends did make a headturn when I flipped out this badboy from my pocket..

Lol. Have to agree. This case is such an eye catch. Not only amongst friends. It makes surrounding people wonder too. biggrin.gif

Hi guys, I just flashed to pre-rooted stock rom with TWRP recovery + Perseus36. Now I try to make Device status Normal by using XDA - [TIP/GUIDE] Root + Custom Kernel + Custom Recovery = Device Status Normal + OTA - 2013-02-25. However the Xposed module in the thread is lost. I can't post in the thread since I'm a new user. If anyone here have any backup or copy of the module, can you share the link with me. icon_rolleyes.gif

Or is there any other working method?

There's a Brightness setting in the stock browser, don't know if it's independent of the main brightness setting or not.

I'm on stock rooted, and don't care about status normal since I won't do an OTA. If you're on a CM ROM, why do you even want "Normal" anyway?

I have yet to understand why so many users so worried about status must be normal too??
I never bother with such stuffs
If so concerned don't even bother to root n flash custom stuffs
Than start pulling haiirs how to get status normal
I always preached if you guys if you want to tamper with your phones forget about warranty. All the tricks to root n normalized system is worthless as Samsung tech will still know n if he wants to void warranty he will n still can.
