Just repair it. USB Port is a separate daughterboard so it won't be costly to replace just the board containing usb port and some other parts.

Never fix mine before. *Although both my power button (water damage, not so "clickly" but still works) and USB Port (not sure how I damaged it but it's now very picky. Only certain, normally "longer" micro usb cable can charge it up )*

But the spare part for that board is not expensive. So add labour cost also shouldn't be too expensive. Don't kena cut throat price then should be ok.

My guess will be around RM50~80. Just a guess. Never ask for quote. I asked for power button before. RM30 only.

anyone here knows how to make an NFC app that turns on ur phone and unlocks it when detected by a dedicated tag?
then u can off it by power/pgm/tag again.

since ip5s have finger sensor, we can make use of NFC to for the fun.
and of course if there is no tag, a passcode will appear.
