I will use only the air compressor without any grease. But if you see typical threading tap, there are grooves or recess where you can apply grease.
About the TDC, my understanding TDC at power stroke both in/ex valves are closed. Appreciate your more input/correct me on this as it will help me much. I just don't have time to do it now but for sure will take some photos during the DIY.

Thanks icon_rolleyes.gif

excuse my noobness. I was really un-aware that these engines runs on high-compression piston heads. The gap at TDC would be minimal I guess. Air compressor would do fine.

Guys, want to ask. If an accident happens in front of you, lets say motorcycle with car. What to do and what not to do? Any pointers?
Thanks.

From my experience and point of view.....

If its a fender bender kinda nonsense, just move on. No point helping/watching two vehicles owners argue over paint.

If its serious like the biker fell over and not waking up and such, here is what I will do, assuming im in my car.

1) Pull to the side and put on my blinkers.
2) If have, bring water and tissue, cloth to wipe face and such. NEVER give the victim to drink water. There might be internal damages and water can make it worse, so no drinks. The water is to wipe face or the wound and so on. If victim in the middle of the road, get help to move him to the side. Never try to move yourself, as the we do not know if there is internal damage.
3) After the victim stabilise, call 999 for ambulance.
4) Check for victims wallet and hand phone. Call anyone on the phone that seems close, like sayang, baby, wifey...you know lah .... ( if you find scandal, please share here ).
5) Take pics for police record and so on.

Just my two cents.

I see. If he fell, and then, shook it off, got up, and pushed the motorcycle to the side of the road, what then? He seemed ok. Just minor scratches.

For me bro, I will just move on. No point you stop at the side and busy body. If you want, you can still stop and offer some cloth/tissue to wipe him or some water to calm him down.

But most bikers wont bring these stuff on their bikes...... I also just bring a bottle of water, just in case...no cloth..or tissue..

If you on a bike, no harm you pull aside and ask if he is okay. But if you in car, then dont cause traffic jam lah...you know malaysians.....got a few cars stop at the road side, everyone will stop take a look. ....

And the purpose of the bike?

S20 and T30 are two different class. One is a sport tyres while the other one is a sport touring tyres. If you are into spirited riding and doesnt mind the shallow mileage used on the tyre, S20 is the choice.

But if you are very concern on the mileage, T30 is the best option.

For the time being, i am using s20 front and t30 rear. Mileage hasnt clocked much as the bike isnt running much nowadays. I cant tell how much they have travelled since the last tyre swap.

Before this s20/t30 combo, i was on Pilot Road 2 combo and they lasted me 25k kms. It finally gave out because the patch (cacing) can no longer contain the air (ran out of thread).

On track, the T30 surely provide adequate grip, but cant stay out for too long before it starts to get too hot. Just 3 laps and the rubber is already melting. On hot afternoon it was.

Really. i thought there are in the same class as the t30evo is the newer version of s20evo according to the brigestone website. Was planning on daily rides and trackday. better if i change to t30 like that.

how about pilot road 4? have you used that before or known anyone who used them? I'm planning to change mine to PR4/T30 after my s20s are done as I'm using my bike as a daily commuter to and fro work

If the bike is daily rider, id suggest T30 than S20 for the sake of longevity. This is for the budget minded. But, If you have the money and doesnt mind frequent tyre change, by all means, S20 all the way.

And.. Supercorsa or R10 for daily is an overkill. Takes time to warm up, and very poor on wet and you have to watch their heat cycle.

I havent tried PR4 but, coming from was PR2 user and how I loved the grip it gave on wet condition and also on weekend spirited riding, I am convinced PR4 will do better than PR2. Didnt get the chance to try PR2 on trackday tho, so I cant comment on trackday performance.

One thing for sure, I still had the center thread thicker than on the sides. The sides gets thinner faster than the center thread. I swear I could still use them for daily eventhough the sides are already thinning.

s20evo can withstand how much millage if used by a regular rider meaning sometimes goes to weekend sprited riding and daily used to work about 10km perday.

Right now im using angel gt because my last job i need to travel 110km daily. Now just 10km and thinking like trying a softer compound like the s20evo or the t30evo.

Yes sir, was talking bout supercorsas.

Most sbks i see runs on supercorsas on daily basis or short distance trip. That pretty much defeat the purpose of the super sticky tires right?

10km distance? by all means, go ahead with s20evo. The evo variant said to be lasts longer than the normal s20s. How much longer? I dont know. It depends on how u use. If the 10km is a long stretch road, it will last long. But if the 10km is like fraser hill's route, it will last shorter. Haha..
