Rempit in ampang - selayang area? I know Saturday night I dare not venture into KL because it is flooded with rempit and doing stunt. And lots of road blocks. If you stay in Selayang, try the Ulu yam - Sungai tua road to genting. And if you had been to lookout point, go down further to ulu langat and  go further inside pass Kampung Batu Lapan Belas and turn to Jalan Sungai Lui then go to the end and turn to Kuala Klawang, this Kuala Klawang route is a twisty road with lots of bend......and i means a lot, around 200 over if you count "S" as 2 corner. There is a shorter route there but the road had been close due to landslide. Make sure go there with a full tank. And rode slow if never ride this route before. These are the place I used to ride...

22 is the golden age for fun and take good care of yourself.

Heh, been there.

1) Use the emergency lane if possible.

2) Stick to the left lane (between middle and slow lanes) to avoid the faster motorcyclists.

3) Keep your eyes forward and pay attention to cars doing a quick lane switch.

4) Use your mirrors and do a quick head check before changing lanes.

Most importantly, take your time. It's very intimidating the first few times when you do it. Keep at it and it will get easier.

I always lane split just slightly above the jam speed so that I can always stop in time just in case. Also look at the driver in front of you and read their body/head gesture. If you can see their eye in their side mirror, they "might" see you (sometimes they see you but pretend they don't and try to killed you). if not assume they don't see you at all. I just notice that ER6F had the rear view mirror at the same level with most car and hard to lane split because it is easy to knock into car side mirror. There is this uncle riding yellow/orange versys with tall side mirror can cilok so easily. ER6N also had taller side mirror than car's side mirror. Dunno about Ducati, but I think it is also higher than normal car.

Cool...26 months 60km average 2.3k per months... Almost like daily ride of 75km. I am also around this figure but had reduce recently and gone back to my kupchai for daily work trip. And might stop riding all together during Chinese Festive Ghost Month (Starting on 1st day of Hari Raya).
I am planning for an 8 hours Subang-Dengkil-LBJ-Seremban-Rembau (Lunch - Halal)-Kuala Klawang-Ulu Langat (Waterfall Mandi)-Subang with my friends for the pass 3 months but until now there is no time to do it. Maybe we can plan it here...

To counter mid life crisis is to ride.... Like the advertisement about a bunch of sick/cancer Taiwan uncle with a friend who just pass away, then they just decide to ride... I bought my bike after watching that advertisement.....

I agree on ER6N has taller sidemirrors.. easier for me to split lanes.. but I got a bit paranoid when there's a lorry.. after watching a video of a biker getting creamed after he fell down hitting a car in a traffic jam..

usually in KL there are a lot of big bikers during traffic jam.. I follow them from behind as I know if they can squeeze in, so do i.. and I have L sticker at the tail of my bike.. lower expectation from those kapcais who are following me from behind hahahah
