Hi, does anyone know where i could get this RAM in malaysia?


It costs a whopping RM1500 for 2x1gb PC2-5300 at macasia.


I cant find it in the lowyat pricelists.

Try the pricelist here. But if you were to buy from lowyat. Bring your laptop and try out the ram first. Scared cant used. But heard normally Apple use kingston for their ram for powerbook last time. Dunno bout this round though. Happy hunting

well before this my friend order ram for powerbook and it cost less rm100 then at macasia

thanks guys..

Hmm, if its really gonna cost *just* rm100 (of RM1500) less than macasia, i think its better to let macasia do it.. then guaranteed no kernal panics and other nasty stuff.

that link I give it, that guy sell "KTA" ram. I think you can save around RM260 or more. but up to you, send to service center always a better option if you never hold a ram before.

hehehe, i installed ram before on my iBook.. kbut it was a disaster. and it was kingston ram that had all the required specs.

I just wondered. All PC-5300 RAM suppose to manufactured according to this spec. Thus, there shouldn't be a specialized RAM for 'Apple', right? As long as it is PC-5300, it should work well for Apple...
