What's MFA ?

1. Malaysian Franchise Association ?
2. Malaysian Flying Academy ?
3. Malaysian Finance Association ?

Wrong topic maybe ?

Hmm... I've answered this quite a number of times actually. Maybe U can search earlier posts. Nevertheless, in line with the govt's No Wrong Door Policy, I hope this is the last time I'ma answer this. Here goes:

The whole recruitment process (for SPA candidates) is like this :

1. Exam
2. PAC (includes 2.4 km run, Parliamentary debate, public speaking)
3. Interview
4. Offer letter
5. PTD Unggul (basically a 2-week induction course, U'll be exposed with the basics to assist U in Ur job later, plus some physical modules)
6. Report duty
7. Diploma Pengurusan Awam (6 months. This is where U'll go for the Army, Bomba, Polis, BTN, OBS, nowadays even hospital module's been implemented)

That's it. For contract officers, usually U'll go straight for the interview.

hello everyone

i've passed the ptd exam on feb 21. is there anyone else with me?

cant wait to get the letter for PAC.huhu

btw,mr tenno, what do u mean by contract officers will go straight for interview??

Hmm... this might have to do with the latest decision to recruit contract officers among the JPA scholars. Might be la. But dun worry too much la, AFAIK, there hasn't been any PAC since last February. Maybe they're putting those on hold. Be patient ye....
*
if dats really happen.. all of us are going to wait much longer i suppose.. i have a friend of a friend who is a JPA scholar and she currently a PTD in one of government firm and she didnt go to PAC after passing the test, just an interview..but it is just a contract for 2 years..
so, i guess i need to be more patient after what u said mr tenno and dont put ur hope sky high coz it might hurt u at the end cry.gif

i don't think it means u can't apply for gov post..
just u r allowed to apply after u finish ur studies..

Added on May 20, 2009, 12:02 pm

i take that as a sarcastic joke..
just becoz a few bad apples, all the gov gets bad name..

i hope u are applying for gov post becoz u can work hard and give ur best to the gov..
not becoz u think it is laid-back-relax-environment..

i feel frustrated becoz i work hard doing my job but ppl still see gov jobs are relaxing..
but i understand, it is only human nature as we only see the bad not the good..

i do support that the IT unit of all gov depts regulate the internet traffic..
block the sites that are not relevent to the job scope of the dept..
some dept requires full access to the net, some don't..

anyway, good luck in ur application..

glad to have someone from the government with this way of thinking thumbup.gif

Nothing will happen to U. If U've passed the exam, they will just hold Ur application, until the time when they decide to take fresh grads again.

Things in the public service, especially on intake, is really confusing now, especially to the Ministries. Contradicting instructions, etc. So, we'll just let the JPA & SPA handle this thing.

AFAIK, there's been no PAC for the past 6 months. So this only means that the SPA is holding all applications, while allowing the JPA to fill up the vacancies with their scholars (who didn't have to go to the exams & PAC, only interview). Once JPA's ran out of ppl, then they'll start with SPA again.
*
owh, really..as what i thought.. they should run of jpa ppl fast since i got nothing to do at d moment.jobless.haha

btw mr tenno, should i re-apply my spa since i try to browse for my application inside spa.gov.my but i think it is already expired coz i applied it on march last year..

but i do passd the exam on feb21 diz year.any thought?

n i do passd the 14 skim perkhidmatan awam last on year test(the one without esaay) on july 2008 but still there is no action bout dat; interview n stuff hmm.gif

dude, u always says negative things about this job. its fine to me if u dont like it but we dont really want to know bout that here man.

everyone's here are looking forward and cynical for the job, getting hints and tips to get selected for the service of the country.

other than that, we can get to know each other. thats all..

u might wanna think again before text in another comment here..

enough said.

I aint got the letter yet but after check at the spa web, it really seems that it is a one day program.

Check this out:

KEPERLUAN SEPANJANG PROGRAM
1. "Track bottom" berwarna gelap dan baju t-shirt putih berkolar
(Pakaian hendaklah bersopan).
2. Kasut sukan yang bersesuai.
3. Sila ambil kira keperluan untuk pakaian bersolat (Muslim).

SENARAI SEMAK KEPERLUAN PENDAFTARAN
1. Surat panggilan temu duga Program PTD Assessment Centre.
2. Borang Profil I dan II beserta 2 keping gambar berukuran passport.
3. Skrol ijazah dan transkrip penuh (ASAL & SALINAN).

PERINGATAN
1. Semasa pendaftaran, tuan/puan dikehendaki memakai pakaian pejabat.

**copy from SPA

the program states that it would be a "Sahsiah dan Minat" test that start from 3pm to 5pm that day
but why would they ask us to bring shoes and track bottom along with white collar t shirt?
plus, they said that they wont provide place for overnight but the test ends at 5pm.

i just dont get it and im very3 curious rclxub.gif

so to all the otais , would u guys please give your thought based on your experience.

time is running out, need to get well prepared thumbup.gif

from my experience, it took almost 3-4 months after the exam result to the PAC stage.
i guess it'll be held in Jan 2010. smile.gif

august 3-4 month become nov or dec?

i mean from the date u guys got the result, not took the exam.

my exp: exam feb, result march and the pac was july

ur situation: exam aug, result sept rite? add 4 months n u'll get jan aite?

but since there will be another exam,on oct, i guess they'll drag the date for
pac some more to merge with the earlier batch who passed the exam on aug. cool2.gif

but all of this just a prediction tho
