Sorry to ask, any idea how to be a part of PTD. Last 2 year, I'm at 2nd stage, exam but failed. Last year, I did't renew my SPA, maybe that's why hmm.gif they didn't call the exam. Early this year, I resubmit again my SPA. Under PTD I can see, 'Melepasi syarat-syarat yang ditetapkan.."

So, I guess, there will be an online exam around this month or next month. Did you all have any tips, what to study, or anything relate to PTD that I need to study.

I'm really hoping to be a part of Government servant. Now working with industry, and its very difficult for me to buy my 1st house. Private sector if not big company, loan very difficult to approve. I'm very frustrating on how to survive day by day. Monthly commitment, pay house rent(already 30% amount from my salary, end up still not my house) others bill, car rent, eat, toll, all etc etc.

Maybe I should consider to do part time business/job. cry.gif cry.gif

First thing first, cut off unnecessary spending.

- Rent room instead of house
- Prioritize your debt. Don't need to pay 1,000 if u can only manage to pay minimum rate (I suppose personal loan, credit card)
- Diversify ur transport method. Uber/grab vs self drive
- No cinema, no fancy food just cook urself and look for free food in any event

When you have mentality of joining gov to get more loan, u better stay at current place to avoid u doing so
*
Thanks for your opinion and suggestion, let me explain a little bit about my background base on your listed suggestion.

-Rent room instead of house= I already married, and my wife from Kuching. I'm from Kedah working at Selangor. We need to rent a house because of parent always come to our house, furthermore I have 2 sister in laws study here and they sometime spend their weekend here. Alhamdulillah, next year will be 3 of us, my wife now , 3 month pregnant already. I try to find the lowest house rent, currently rent Rm750/month for apartment.

-Prioritize your debt. Don't need to pay 1,000 if u can only manage to pay minimum rate (I suppose personal loan, credit card)= I don't have any cc, I don't have any loan, I just pay my PTPTN, house rent, and ASB. I give money to my wife for car, toll, gas..I do the car maintenance oil service, tire change. I try as possible to cut all cost and unnecessary things.

-Diversify ur transport method. Uber/grab vs self drive= I go to work by motorbike and my wife drive to work but her office just near. My home to office around 45 minute, so ride a motorbike is a best option.

-No cinema, no fancy food just cook urself and look for free food in any event= Everyday, I go to work bring tapaw food. After married we rarely eat outside, we will go eat outside if our family come. I never buy new cloths after so many years, just my wife buy for me a few when Hari Raya. After married, we never go to honeymoon yet.

As you can see here, I'm doing any possibilities to cut off my spending. Everyday I will reduce any cost living, this year we only go to cinema 1 times only that also because of my in-laws family come. I working at industry manufacturing at shah alam. My salary not enough with current economy to survive. If join government agencies, if I'm not able to buy house at least they provide house for government staff or maybe house allowance.

I was thinking that you are a lousy fresh grad so my apology  sweat.gif

Base on your story you are a caring husband and father which is enough to drive you work better.

Yes the possibility of you getting the house for gov staff might be there. House allowance is not that much thou... The only way I can see is let your wife have a job too. Once you reach salary rise up to 1000+, there will be no issue to get better comfort for your family.

In reality, you basically start as Grade 41 in any gov agency, regardless you have 10 years experience with private. Imagine the salary drop as well

Owh, it's okay. cool2.gif

Other people also will act like you if didn't know the full story. By the way, my wife already start worked 1 month ago, before that she do business but end up no profit at all after about 6 month last year. To keep our live here as we planned, we do all kind of things to save and keep up our saving.

As people growing up, their attitude will be more mature, I myself turn out to be more responsible, I already stop playing game almost 3 years, I start to think about owning own house not so big but enough to live with my little family raise my child as I will become a father next year.
That's the point when you start seriously to think about future, when in my current company it's a very impossible to take any house loan. So, I made a decision to join government to make better living. I will try my best, if any chance and rezeki it will be mine.

About salary in this private company, I still below 5 years experience in this industry. So, the salary is not very different if I manage to join government. flex.gif

Thanks for caring with me and give opinion, hope I will have a chance to be a part of PTD's icon_rolleyes.gif

its ok to join gov but plz dont downgrade yourself.

I got friends which own master degree, but apply gov as 17 gred which is for spm level.

he currently working as 17 in 1 of gov department right now. permenent staff.

nobody cant help him. his mindset are very narrow and believe only gov job can save his future.

whatever life going on.

Thanks for the info. Good luck for all of us.
What happened? U didnt finished answering all the questions on time?
*
For Section A, as I remember about 7-10 question didn't answer. For section B, almost 10 question I didn't manage to answer. I take too much time for each question to be answer. The answer is a bit tricky, and I find I lost confident for my answered and I will repeat back to the question and change the answer. Maybe I shouldn't answer alone. Hmm confused.gif

Lesson learn, time management is important in online exam. bye.gif

Ya basically online exam is 'open book' test. Feel free to google around and try as many effort as you can to pass.

Coz the real game is during PAC assessment.

If you realize they call it UJKJ this time around purposely, so expect stricter assessment this time...

Yes, lesson learn. Next year I will concern about time management on online test. As other mention, use all available resource Google, books or what so ever. This is open book test, here with is better not to answer alone. devil.gif

oh, 40yo. Maybe I'll have a chance next year. Wish me luck, btw I already joined their PTD telegram group. So, many of them pass the exam although they are 1st timer. So luck of them, furthermore many people share answer in that group, its a luck if they manage to read all the chat answer.
