Yeah same here. I personally think XZU is just a big hype. Look at XZU forum so much problem.

I have tried and tested Samsung and....I have come to accept their plastic body....you just cant win in everything. If only mega has and an S Pen......

Please clarify " soo much problem."
I have been using the XZU a month already n I would say these are the only issues:

1. Forget about using it to write . Is hopeless n only a gimmick . Short brief notes ok but definitely not extensive writing . You will get frustrated n want to smash the phone

2. Phone speakers softer than most but slightly better than XZ . This is due to extra membrane on speakers to ensure waterproofing

I cannot think of any other problems
*
I was interested in XZU before, because I was a fan of Sony Ericsson's phone back then. K750, K800. The picture quality is undoubtly the best then. THE phone with a dedicated camera button. I was expecting their XZU to replace samsung and moreover that stylus functionality.

However after following XZU forum, quite a few users shared about SOD, the lifted glass panel behind, the unusability of screen protectors depending on brands, no OTA update, only via PC, kept me away ATM. These may be isolated cases though and at RRP of 2.3k, much afraid I might get a lemon.

Yes, I agree its the best at the moment but not for me. I'll pass and wait for samsung or XZU 2.

I think Samsung phone need those bezel as it's much easier to open the back cover. If use unremovable battery..maybe can use unibody type design...hmm.gif
*
if unibody means irreplaceble battery, then, that might shorten the lifespan of ownership, as owners will have to get it replaced at samsung SC only, rather than buying battery at the stalls in malls.

there is unibody with removable battery? that is good news. Hope the technology being copied faster biggrin.gif.

As for the casings, somebody mentioned here, that is also true, no matter how sexy it is, we'll always cover it up on the first day of getting the phone with cases. Remember the days when we could change the original phone housing with aftermarkets ones?....wish the same now. Last time I use phones naked, but nowadays, the bigger the phone, the bigger risk of accidentally dropping it...

I would say " rich and powerful peoples " are more concerning about money and their businesses than those gadget.
Very less of them are into techie stuff. Simpler mean better to them. iOS no doubt is simpler than Android.
My iPad now lag quite bit compared to my samsung note 2. The thing i hate is chrome , iCab , Terra or Atomic browser crash often on my iPad. I strongly doesn't agree to iOS are lag free as they do lag when some junk file building up after sometime or disk size is low. However i am still using my ip5 for GPS and some game like walking dead and PW-AA which is not available on playstore.
To make Android runs perfectly smooth , it need some little tweak here and there only. Now really hand itchy waiting this Note 3. Hopefully comes with much better battery life.

the rich is too busy with making money, they have no time for tweaks. tongue.gif

forever? i think later s5 out u will need ikat perut again.

I think there will come a time where we don't change phones as often and settled for one for quite sometime. Once we have settled about our most comfortable sizes and specs. Until then manufacturer will have to crack their heads to lure us again with new innovative products.

I think I'm getting there. Just need S-Pen. biggrin.gif

*sigh*  Not even 12 hours after launching for Note 3 and there's so much bashing about Note 3 from forums all around . Most commonly seen remarks

- Fake leather
- Fake metal
- only 5.7"
- Same design with S4

Guess hating Samsung is some kind of a religion these days
*
It's sort of a love and hate affair. Can't live without them, can't live with them too. tongue.gif Samseng needs a big slap to wake them up. Why not stereo speakers, or xenon flash or bigger screens? biggrin.gif

for the above, afaik other samsung model already have it.

so imo business wise, go for other model to get it?
*
stereo speakers only in Note 10.1, too big and flexing too much, don't know if Tab 101. got it.

I mean stereo for Note 3 because I listen to music using loudspeakers. Asking too much isn't it hahaha

you have to understand that PC is PC and mobile is mobile
Bank are banks and ah longs are ah longs

essentially the same but the purpose is different

he just repeats this mantra of "no matter how great your phone, it ain't no PC" in so many instances across various threads
*
I think banks are ah long....but ah long are no bank

On the Micro SD card. Same like Mega 6.3. First I thought need to remove the battery, but after trying, there is just enough space to take out SD card. Need to flip the phone though, carefully.

Yes, there is a 10.1" variant, almost exact same specs but with a 2560x1600 10.1" screen.  laugh.gif  Will get a 10.1 variant for sure.  Not so sure about Note 3, still trying to resist.  sweat.gif
*
was hoping more like 6 inch Note 3 based on past rumours. Note 10.1 I'm not that keen

On the contrary, I was quite turned off by the rumours that the Note III screen size will be further increase to 6" and beyond.  From my daily usage of Note I and Note II for the past 2 years, its size is just so great - big but still easily pocketable.  I checked out the Xperia Z Ultra last month at a Sony Centre nearby - it is really a beast, a real big beast, really hard to swallow such a big size device into my pant's pocket.  You should check it out if you looking for larger than 6" devices.

So now I am so tempted by it since the size has been shrink slightly.  But another hurdle is cannot buy it bundled with Telco plan coz both my Maxis lines still have unexpired contract - one signed up with S3, another with Note II.  A bit wasted to buy it without contract.  Sorry, can't help be calculative coz it is my day job.  tongue.gif
*
Well, XZU is really square at 6.44 inch, but currently I have a Galaxy Mega 6.3...it suits me really well. No issue of pocketablity. That's why I'm looking forward to at least a variant of 6 inch in Note series.
