wew guys, getting out of hand here.
both devices are good in terms of what they are capable of doing.
as for why favor one for the other, its entirely up to the user.
I have used an iphone and what it can do does better than what samsung has to offer, and what samsung can offer does better than the iphone. Its just that and that alone.
nonidrageya.

From the looks of it, Samsungs about to pull off their dirty trick again, claiming 64gb will be available at launch, yet not even one US carrier have offered the 64gb....

Owh god, feels like back to s2 era for me. The long wait, the expected high price, lulz.
Would really go for the 64gb if its below 1000aud, I need that space, my xzu is literally full after transferring half of my media content.

QUOTE(kahyeec @ Sep 8 2013, 07:17 AM) 649 x 3.2 = 2076 . if it is priced like that here in Malaysia , we call it the norm. Heck, it will probably be rounded up to 2099 . which is a tad cheaper than HTC One and Butterfly S and iphone 5. We are used to 2K plus top line phones here because no one wants to tie himself up with a 2 year contract. Brah, quids to rm is 5.2. quids =/=usd

QUOTE(JonSpark @ Sep 8 2013, 07:46 AM) even the design shape looks like S2 which is my favorite yeah, the s2 in my opinion felt the best among the whole s lineup, and it had a good weight to it that made it feel good in your hands.

I doubt samsung actually cares to compete with apple with this product. Totally different consumers with different wants.
If the 64gb is well within the range of 2,6-3k, I dont mind, but if it hits above 3k, owh well, still gonna buy it.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 8 2013, 08:58 PM) Charging more faster by using usb 3.0 than 2.0..? Both version charging 2A if you use wall charger. What he meant was quallcomm's quick charge version 2.0, and with usb3, charging thru ur pc shud be much faster.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 10 2013, 12:52 PM) The question here is 1) Dev support? 2) Are the apps that you use capable of using all 8? or does the octa core scale well?? This is just over hyped. But I know you Malaysians love it very much.

That is not the point, android as a whole is flawed in its prioritization. No amount of cores will "remove" that lag away.

QUOTE(h11g @ Sep 10 2013, 01:05 PM) the recent moto x is a big step in showing that a phone need not have the best spec but it still can perform flawlessly without lag. Not quite, that phone is highly customised, even with its architecture cores and their sole purpose. Almost to the extent of it being the iPhone of Android.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 10 2013, 01:11 PM) but its still using the same Android right? Prioritization change for Android OS in MotoX? Yes it is using android, but it requires much more than just slapping a powerful soc onto a flagship device, something neither HTC or Samsung has done. That said, I do agree with you that that lag can be done away with a sheer amount of dedication, it just requires much more effort and we all know effort = higher costs.

QUOTE(owentan328 @ Sep 10 2013, 01:39 PM) yeah i know... i personally think if everyone is going for the pure android look and feel, then whats the point of developing touchwiz and sense UI? we are comparing the smoothness of stock UI which utilize the hardware. not comparing just hardware. You are missing out on the point of why Android is a great platform. Choice is the keyword. Like = use, dont like = replace.

QUOTE(owentan328 @ Sep 10 2013, 01:42 PM) yes i know ... and you are missing out the whole point of my statement. if you said choice.. dont like change.. then i can those cheap cheap phone and tweak it to be as smooth as the s4. right? Will never happen, if you actually owned multiple android devices.
