No. Only some widgets specific to TW Launcher cannot be used that's all.

In note2, some widgets don't work and the pen popup dialog won't popup.

These have workarounds via apks and no need to muck about w flashing.

Multi Window still there and most features is there.

Some widget will not be available in 3rd party launcher.

Maybe the new S-Pen feature will gone, this look like same feature as previous Note II page buddy where required Samsung own Touchwiz launcher.

why bash? simple, bcoz they jelly, inferior complex, need to comfort them self and lick their own wound to prove that their godlike iphone that they are so proud and have bragged all over with is still godlike. Since these days samsung comes up with the most wow features, they cannot take it.

As for ladies, what do you expect? its the same with cars, guys will like the cars with lots of features and can tinker with, while girls will want simple cars and don't rly mess with the cars (they throw all their junk in the car tho). Guy instead will wanna add this camera, wanna add phone docks wanna mod this, wanna add spoiler, wanna change rims etc. Few decades ago, it was also the same with Hi-Fi system, ask your father, they love modding the speakers

then may i know why people recommend using those launcher if the features that we need are gone?

we only lose all those features related to samseng like the spen and air features when we flash to AOSP aka stock android, which is honestly PLAIN and EMPTY. Of course we would recommend you specific roms AOKP+PA which gives more functions but never the samseng features.

Cos those launcher have more features that TW launcher dun have.

3rd party launcher had more customization, and also Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher is the most close to pure Android look without required on flashing AOSP ROM.

The missing features is not really a lot in-fact.

I am the person more prefer stock look than third party launcher. I only once in a while change for fun, but end up I still back to stock.

I dun care what ppl talk - it is me using my own Note II, not other ppl using it for me, so why bother. You can complain/bash/whatever you want - but a lot of us will still get the Note III and enjoy ourselves - happily ever after.

First off, the note community recognises that there is lag in tw on OTHER models.....NOT the note 2 or hopefully note 3. That is all. And 300ms to 500ms will not kill you. If it does buy another phone where the manufacturer has decided the best launcher for u, and u get lots of accessories to go with it.
It's only a few widgets. ...all other functionslity is still there.

My Note II is running smooth and less lag compare to S3, S2, Note1, SGS.

I have an iPad, it does lag sometimes, but still in acceptable level
