For barang kemas, definitely it is malay market. Jewellers that cannot tap into the M market, sure hard to survive.
Else I think all those poh kong, tomei won't hv sooo many shops around liau... hehehe...

In the near future, I see that those big players will have to change their game plan as more & more ppl have access to cheaper jewellery.
Nowadays, I see poh kong, tomei and their likes are mostly empty even during peak hours on weekends in those huge shopping complexes.
Furthermore, there are more & more malay players flooding the market nowadays who have been selling consistently rm20-30 per gram (no upah) below the published rate at those big players

Matters on you, if you believe gold going to drop to 1.1 or 900(very unlikely) then wait for it, but if you believe going up any day now then buy.

i didn't say it will definitely drop below that but some people I met actually think it will drop that low eventually, I like to just smile and nod.
