thats called spread, otherwise how they make money?

I'm trading with broker directly, which has much smaller spreads.

I'm with oanda, for about 10 years now and im conformable with them, the spreads is only ~30 cents (1272.01 : 1272.28). anything more, it's home work time for you.

Let's back to the price action of gold now smile.gif

Gold, which was at $1,245.90 an ounce on the Comex at 4:33 p.m. in Singapore, will drop $1,050 at the end of next year, Goldman said in the report, restating an earlier forecast. Currie said last month that gold is a “slam dunk” sell for next year as the U.S. economy extends its recovery.

Since gold is on the downward trend, instead of buying gold, why not consider put option?

perhaps i shall look into the possibility of going SHORT. hmm.gif nod.gif yawn.gif

I think i will hold on to my paper gold for 5 or 6 more years and wait for it to reap profit. No point sell at loss since i dun need the money urgent.

but then your money could be in elsewhere doing more efficient than in gold for more return for you.

Many Chinese are definitely doing so in China (the biggest market overtaken India), therefore supporting current price (I think)..., therefore I foresee physical demand would drop in March / April.... again, I think....

So I guess you are still thinking China buys gold and silver for jewelry purposes. Great. I would like to think many of the china people are smarter then you. My opinion is that Chinese are very practical people. They know what is going on. That is why they are putting their money into that.

It is not a secret that China and their citizens are accumulating gold. What I am trying to demonstrate is, china is not buying gold for jewelery purposes.
