Hi guyz.....everytime when I change the wallpaper..there will be a dialog box beneath the folder icon as you can refer from the following pic....how to get rid of it? I want to make it transparent but not the wording...user posted image

Right click on My Computer->Properties->Advanced
Go to Settings under Performance.
On the Visual Effects Tab, Tick on "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the dekstop".

I tried it already....still can't....actually...what's the background colour should I use under "display properties"?

try right click on my computer icon> select properties> select advanced tab> on performance box select setting> select adjust for best appearance then apply

you can also use this, D-Color XP

It allow you to change the appearance of the desktop icon text foreground and background colors (Screenshot). It also allows you to change the view of your desktop icons from Large, Small, and Tile view icons.

how about:

1) right click on desktop
2) go to Properties
3) go to Appearance tab
4) click on Effects
5) select Clear Type for the second statement

hope this helps. smile.gif

i think you active desktop is turned on..
right click on desktop > properties > Desktop tab > Customize Desktop > Web tab > delete all of it or uncheck all
