What kind of insurance are you on that can covers whatever injuries that may/will happened throughout your weightlifiting years?
I know there are a few regs here who have been on operating table due to those injuries so better be prepared than sorry.

I've asked Maybank once about their insurance package but it seems that they don't cover any injuries that happened due to sports. I do ask them what happened if slipped disc occurred (it can happened outside from sports) and they told me, if I can cheat my way, then it all set and dandy. But that is not the kind of insurance that I am looking for.

MSIG has a Sports PA. There's weightlifting on the list, but it's more suited for those on more outdoor sports such as mountain biking, white-water rafting etc.

I'm looking for insurance that covers sports injuries properly. Well what the Maybank staff said, they don't cover injuries related to sport but if I can cheat like saying it happened not because of sports. But IF I caught cheating, then that's and Insurance Scam for me.

They do covers weightlifting as it's being stated in this link. Are you on this insurance?

Nope I'm not. Have a look at what the payout is like and what are the restrictions to it. Then try to justify and compare with your finances to see if it's worthwhile for you to purchase it. As far as I can see, max RM3K per accident. Gotta check with them what are the restrictions to that, e.e. got hospitalization? How about chiropractor? And what their 'a clinic registered with MOH' means.

Hi,

I'm from Great Eastern and I'm a bodybuilder as well, Great Eastern accident and medical card do covers weight lifting, as I'm having a bunch of amateur bodybuilder are my policyholder.

If you are a professional bodybuilder who go for competition, you are required to declare to the company, the company may reserve the right to impose additional loading as the risk is high, same as Scuba diving.

If you are a mediocre gym-goer for do bodybuilding for health and better body posture, it covers as per normal person.

Last but not least, if you are interested to get a medical card/Personal accident for yourself, do pm me.
